The Potion is a recurring item introduced in Kingdom Hearts. It can typically be used in battle to restore HP to the user, or to a target of the user's choosing.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts, a Potion restores 30 HP to one party member.

In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, a Potion is an item card that instantly restores all attack cards that have been used, but not those lost through sleights.

In Kingdom Hearts II, a Potion restores 40% of one party member's maximum HP.

In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, a Potion is an item panel that restores 30% of one party member's maximum HP.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, a Potion is an item command that restores 30% of the user's max HP. One slot in the Command Deck can hold five Potions.

In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, a Potion is an item command that restores 30 HP. One slot in the Command Deck can hold three Potions, with a memory consumption of 9%.

In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, a Potion is an item command that restores 50 HP to all party members. One slot in the Command Deck can hold six Potions. A Potion grants +5 to maximum HP when attached to a Dream Eater recipe.

In Kingdom Hearts III, a Potion restores 80 HP to one party member.

In Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, a Potion restores 30% of the user's max HP and is automatically consumed when the user's HP is at 40% or below.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded

"An item you have been asked to deliver to the Ace of Spades."
—Description for the Potion key item

An unusable Potion appears as a key item in Castle Oblivion: Wonderland, where the Ace of Spades Card Soldier tells Data-Sora to give it to the other Ace of Spades. Data-Sora can give it to the Ace of Spades as asked, which is the "correct" event, or he can give it to a seemingly starving Ace of Hearts who turns out to only have a case of mild hunger, which is the "incorrect" event. Giving it to the Ace of Spades rewards Data-Sora with some food, which Data-Sora gives to a grateful Ace of Hearts immediately. Choosing the "correct" or "incorrect" event affects the outcome of the Ending Card.
