Mission 18 in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is an optional mission that introduces the emblem test of Organization XIII.

Herein we will determine your fitness for future missions by conducting an assessment of your mobility. Collect the numerous Organization emblems we have placed throughout Agrabah.

Intel

• Demonstrate that you know the terrain well enough to formulate your own route. Running after the first emblem you see will only cost you time.
• Also be on the lookout for Fire Plants.

Roxas goes to Agrabah on his first emblem-collecting mission to test his reflexes and agility.

Mission walkthrough

Mission Clear: Collect Organization emblems.

Mission Complete: Collect all Organization emblems with their rings intact.

Emblem missions are a new type of mission. Instead of the focus being on defeating enemies, the goal is to collect as many silver Organization emblems as you can. If you do not want to complete the bonus objective, just run around and collect emblems until your mission gauge is full and you can RTC. However, the full gauge is achieved by collecting emblems while they still have green rings around them similar to the heart chain rings you see around Heartless. The longer they're there, the smaller they get. Rings can be reset by one of two methods:

1. Touching an Emblem.
2. Defeating a Heartless.

Resetting by the first method should only be done if the rings have yet to fully shrink, as collecting them at any other time keeps you from achieving full mission gauge. It is advised you keep a few Heartless around as you run so you can reset the rings if needed. Redoing this level once you have High Jump and Glide is advisable if you have problems the first time through, as some of the rings are in difficult areas to reach without those skills.

You will enter at the Agrabah Gates. There are no emblems in this area. There are ten in the Agrabah Streets area and five in the Palace area.

You'll want to wait until you have abilities like Glide and High Jump before attempting this Challenge Mission. The goal is to collect as few emblems as possible in order to fill the Mission Gauge. With the right route, you can fill the gauge with the eleven emblems in the Agrabah Street. Enter from the raised doorway northwest of the starting point, and travel clockwise around the area collecting emblems.
