The Kingdom Hearts II manga is the third series in the Kingdom Hearts manga series. It generally follows the events from Kingdom Hearts II. It was first published in Japan in 2006. Because Shiro Amano worked on the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days manga series in the meantime, it took until 2015 for the series to finish.
The first two volumes were translated into English by Tokyopop in 2007 before they lost the rights to the manga.
In 2013, the manga was translated to English in full by Yen Press, combining all ten volumes into four larger volumes.

- Roxas
- "Tell me everything you know."
- An average, ordinary boy enjoying summer vacation with his friends—at least until certain events turn his whole life around, and he gets wrapped up in strange happenings. Naminé says he holds half of Sora,, but...
- Hayner
- "We can do it, right? You and me."
- The leader of the gang, and Roxas's very good friend. He's been trying to cheer Roxas up, since he's been feeling rather down lately...
- Pence
- "This must be what they mean by simple pleasures."
- He looks a bit dull, but he's sharp as a tack. He's the information guy of the group, and he's well-informed of rumors, like the Seven Wonders of Twilight Town.
- Olette
- "It's a really nice photo—one of our treasured times together."
- All the adults who know her unanimously say she's a levelheaded girl, but she's actually a bit of a ditz.
- Sora
- The boy chosen by the Keyblade—the key to saving worlds. During his advetures in KINGDOM HEARTS: Chain of Memories, his memories were taken apart, and he is currently in a deep sleep to restore them.
- Kairi
- "It'll reach him. 'Cos I did remember his name."
- Sora's dear friend. As Sora's memories are restores, the memories of Sora she has inside her are revived as well.
- Naminé
- "...You were never supposed to exist."
- She took apart Sora's memories, but she's now doing everything she can to help him regain them. She approaches Roxas in an effort to tell him something.
- Axel
- "We're going back... Roxas."
- The redheaded man looking for Roxas. In reality, he is Organization XIII's Number 8 who, though his enemy, gave Sora advice and help in KINGDOM HEARTS: Chain of Memories.
- DiZ
- "Now for the finishing touches."
- A man who gives orders to Naminé and the mysterios figure ???, and who continues to keep watch over Roxas. What is his true objective?
- ???
- "Can you feel Sora?"
- His identity is not yet known, but he works alongside Diz. And he speaks as if he knows Sora! He wears the same coat as Axel, but they're not the same person.
- Sora
- "I promised that I'd find Riku...and bring him home."
- The boy chosen by the Keyblade—the key to saving worlds. He had been in a deep sleep, but he has now awakened and set off on a new adventure, led by the Keybladem to find Riku and save the worlds.
- Donald
- "We're going to help the King!"
- He is a master magician who has been traveling with Sora in search of the missing King Mickey. Like Sora, Donald was in a deep sleep, but woke up with his friends.
- Goofy
- "We're s'posed to go find 'em and bring 'em home!"
- Travels with Sora and Donald to find King Mickey. The party's comic relief, Goofy was in a deep sleep at the same time as his companions.
