Chapter 19: What Became of the Researcher Vexen is the ninteenth chapter in the Kingdom Hearts II manga.
Story[edit]
Xaldin is shocked to see Vexen, thinking he has been eliminated at Castle Oblivion, and assumes he is after revenge on Organization XIII. However, Vexen reveals he is not the real Vexen, but rather a replica of Vexen, created to continue his research. Xaldin attacks him, claiming all the research they need has been completed. This angers Vex Replica No. 44, who freezes Xaldin and shatters him. Afterwards, he walks through the city, vowing to discover the deepest secrets of the heart. In the castle, the remaining members of Organization XIII discuss Sora's movements and Xaldin's absense. One of the members volunteers to head out to recruit more members.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrive in The Land of Dragons, where they come across a campground. At the campground, Li Shang attempts to train his soldiers. As Sora, Donald, and Goofy are watching the activity, The Emperor's Adviser spots them and sends them to train. As Sora walks through the camp, Mulan slips when climbing a pole and falls on top of him. Once the training is over, Sora, Donald, and Goofy head to a nearby lake to take a bath. When they arrive, Sora spots Mulan as she undresses.
