In Kingdom Hearts II, Magnega creates a large red sphere and blue sphere above the user. Smaller red and blue spheres rotate around them in a vortex of white energy, drawing enemies in.

Magnet (マグネ Magune?), Magnera (マグネラ Magunera?), and Magnega (マグネガ Magunega?) are a series of magic that appears in Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. When used, it creates a vortex of magnetic force that draws in enemies, dealing continuous damage.

Mechanics

Kingdom Hearts II

In Kingdom Hearts II, Magnet is an Advanced magic that can be used by Sora. When it is upgraded to Magnera, and later Magnega, the magnetic vortex becomes more powerful, pulling in enemies from farther away. In Wisdom Form, the spell casts much faster, and the orb will now inflict extra damage at intervals to enemies caught. In Master Form, the orb lasts for a very long time, and like Wisdom Form, damages enemies caught at intervals. It has the unique effect of periodically launching targets upward before sucking them in again, allowing Sora to catch them with his aerial combos. In Final Form, the orb lasts for a very short time, even shorter if cast in the air; When cast on the ground, Sora is unable to take action as he is occupied with maintaining it. However, enemies caught take massive damage in very short intervals, and when the spell ends, are flung in Sora's direction so as to set up more attacks. Enemies slain with Final Form's Magnet will have their prizes and drops instantly transferred to Sora, regardless of distance, and prizes and drops already on the floor will also be sent Sora's way.

Magnet magic costs 30 MP to use, and deals Neutral damage.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Magnega spawns a red sphere and blue sphere above the user's head that spin around in a pink vortex of energy that draws in nearby enemies.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Magnet, Magnera, and Magnega are magic commands that allow the user to use magnetic force to pull enemies in and deal continual damage. They are especially effective at filling the Command Gauge during battles against large groups of enemies.

  • Magnet is a Basic magic command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 3 and a reload time of 10 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 15%.
  • Magnera is a Basic magic command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 3 and a reload time of 10 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 20%.
  • Magnega is an Advanced magic command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 3 and a reload time of 15 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 25%.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded

In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Magnega creates twin rings of pink energy above the user on which red and blue spheres rotate as enemies are drawn in.

In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Magnet, Magnera, and Magnega are magic commands that allow the user to use magnetic force to pull surrounding enemies toward you and deal a small amount of damage.

  • Magnet KHREC.png Magnet has a memory consumption of 17%, a normal reload time of 15 seconds, and an Overspec reload time of 12 seconds.
  • Magnet KHREC.png Magnera has a memory consumption of 17%, a normal reload time of 20 seconds, and an Overspec reload time of 18 seconds.
  • Magnet KHREC.png Magnega has a memory consumption of 21%, a normal reload time of 25 seconds, and an Overspec reload time of 24 seconds.

  • The first recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, and is a type D recipe.

  • The second recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, and is a type G recipe.
  • The third recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, and is a type C recipe.
