Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed are bosses in Kingdom Hearts II that are fought in the Pride Lands. Known for their role in The Lion King as Scar's peons, they are fought once in the King's Den and then later in the Elephant Graveyard. The second time their HP has gone up a little thus making it a longer battle, but easier at the same time, since the hyenas do not attack but flee.
Strategy
First encounter
Sora's task is to protect Timon and Pumbaa from the hyenas Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. Attack is the best form of defense in this situation. Be sure to monitor the Damage gauge in the top left-hand corner of the screen very closely.
Don't make the mistake of attacking any one hyena for too long, as Pumbaa could sustain serious damage if he is let out of sight. Stick close to him and deal with any enemies that approach. Use the Fire spell to dispatch multiple assailants, if surrounded.
Sora can call Pumbaa to him using the "Call Over" Reaction Command. The hyenas will then run around in confusion, possibly injuring each other. Keep attacking until the three hyenas are defeated.
Second encounter
This battle takes place in the Elephant Graveyard. The difficulty here is actually finding and catching the hyenas in order to hit them. The moment Sora approaches, two exclamation marks will appear above them and they will take off at warp speed. Be sure to make use of the Running Tackle ability by pressing 
quickly, while using the Dash ability with 
.
An alternative strategy is to slowly sneak up on an unsuspecting hyena while pressing 
. As soon as Sora reaches the target, cast Magnera to stop the hyena, then use Simba's Limit. Combining Magnera with Thunder is another useful combo to use in this fight. Note that Sora doesn't lose HP in this battle.
