Shining Prelude : Sora is in a world he doesn't know. He only remembers his friends somehow got to that world and he looks for them. He ends his quest facing a Darkside. When he is victorious, a cloaked figure appears near him and tells him that he has "so much to learn" and that he "knows so little". And so the true adventure begins.<br\/>See Shining Prelude

Symphony of Fate I-1 - The Keyblade Master : Sora travels many worlds to find his friends. He somehow encounters Riku. The latter wants to test Sora's strength... They fight, and Sora wins, However, the mysterious figure appears again and catches an injured Riku. Sora runs after him, but he is stopped by a man in a black cloak, who introduces himself as "what never existed". That man fights Sora, but after being defeated, he retreats, commenting on Sora's potential. Unlock by completing Shining Prelude

Symphony of Fate II-1 - Descend into Darkness : Riku travels alone, much like Sora. But his goal is different - he seeks answers to his questions... What is the strength of the Heart ? Darkness or Light ? He finds the cloaked man, too. He proposes to give Riku "true strength", but Riku is afraid and refuses. The hooded man summons an Anti-Sora that Riku must battle. Later, Riku travels further and encounters the King - Mickey himself. The hooded man appears again, and then begins to manipulate Riku to fall into the Darkness. To stop the process, Mickey battles Riku, but the latter uses the power of Darkness in battle and is much stronger. The Symphony of Fate ends when Riku and the hooded man merge... Unlock by completing Symphony of Fate I-1

Symphony of Fate I-2 - Door to Light : Sora reaches now Riku, but he is now controlled by the mysterious cloaked figure, "Ansem". They fight and Riku is defeated. At the end, Sora manages to find Riku, but Ansem's power turns Riku's body into his own, and Ansem, with his true form, reveals his goals : to return everything to the Darkness, by opening the door to what he calls "Kingdom Hearts". Sora defeats Ansem once more... and he fades into darkness, promising that he will rise again from the darkness. Sora is taken by the darkness at the same time, and his fate remains mysterious... Unlock by completing Symphony of Fate I-1

Symphony of Fate I-3 - Road to Oblivion : Sora wakes up in a strange manor... He progresses into the manor and is attacked by many people in black coats. As he progresses, he learns more about his past... he learns that he has already saved the "Kingdom Hearts" countless times... He learns that all that he does, he did it before... But he slowly forgets why he is here - and even who he is... Then another black-cloaked figure appears and reveals itself as "Marluxia, Lord of the Castle". He claims that Sora will be his servant. But Sora uses the last of his strength to remember what he has to do... find his friends. He fights Marluxia and is victorious. But Marluxia smirks while fading into darkness. He tells Sora that his memories are doomed... Sora then faints...Unlock by completing Symphony of Fate I-2

Symphony of Fate II-2 - Reverse Rebirth : Riku wakes up in the same manor. He finds the help of Mickey to defeat his darkness. He tries to find the way out, but he fights many opponents, including a copy of himself. As he is victorious, he reaches the final stage. There waits Ansem. He explains that he is a part of Riku, and that Riku can't deny his darkness. Riku replies that he already accepted the Darkness, but that he will eliminate Ansem. The two of them battle, and Riku wins. A man calling himself DiZ helps him. Together, he, Mickey and Diz go to some mysterious location. Unlock by completing Symphony of Fate II-1 and Symphony of Fate I-3

Symphony of Fate II-3 - Deep Dive : Riku learns that the mysterious black-hooded men are known as the Organization XIII. He learns that his friend Sora cannot wake up until one of them is defeated - because this person contains a part of Sora's memories. Riku tries to capture this person - a girl known as Xion - but soon after, she is killed by another member of the Organization, who absorbs her, preventing Sora from awakening. Riku then fights this member and is defeated. He then opens his Heart to the Darkness, turning him into Ansem to fight and defeat the enemy. Sora can finally be awaken. Unlock by completing Symphony of Fate II-2

Finale of Destiny : In this storyline, you can choose between Sora and Riku as the playable character. Sora/Riku finally meet and thanks to Sora's light, Riku goes back to his normal form. The latter then explains to him the existence of Organization XIII, and that they must defeat them to prevent their leader Xemnas to create an artificial Kingdom Hearts, for he would be a god. Defeating countless Organization members (and Roxas as an optional boss if you took Sora), they reach Xemnas. He explains that as long as darkness exists in the heart of men, there would be Nobodies, and as such, fighting is useless. However, Sora and Riku do not give up fighting their own darkness, and they defeat Xemnas. As he fights, Sora remembers Riku than "they have a place to come back to" and they vanish in a flash of light, thus ending the game. Unlock by completing Symphony of Fate I-3 and Symphony of Fate II-3

Secret Scenarios

They're optional to finish the game, but they generally unlock playable characters - which is interesting.

Tragic Aubade : Roxas is a member of Organization XIII. He learns that as a member, he must kill Heartless with his "Keyblade" weapons to gather hearts. He learns that all Organization XIII, including himself, are Nobodies, people without a heart. By gathering hearts, he would allow a mysterious entity, Kingdom Hearts, to give them their hearts back. That is what says the leader, Xemnas. Roxas makes friends in the Organization : a pyromancer named Axel and a mysterious girl wielding a Keyblade, Xion. But Xion is kidnapped, and Axel captures her to bring her back to the Organization. He learns that Xion is the "Replica" of a mysterious "Sora" and that he is connected to that "Sora". As no one wants to tell him the truth, he escapes the organization. There, he fights a Xion driven insane. After remorsefully killing her, he tries to go back to the organization. He is stopped by a cloaked figure, "Riku", who recognizes him as "Sora's Nobody". They fight and Roxas wins, but Riku turns into Xehanort's Heartless and captures him... Unlock by completing Symphony of Fate II-3

Sonata to Redemption : The Lingering Sentiment wanders in the Keyblade Graveyard, looking for "Xehanort". He fights a young Keyblade Master, "Sora", and is victorious. Soon after, an injured Xemnas appears, and the Lingering Sentiment recognizes Xemnas, calling him "Xehanort". Xemnas, who was forgotten all about his past, becomes surprised. Then, the Lingering Sentiment attacks him, but Xemnas blocks his attack. Then, suddenly, he (Xemnas) remembers something... he remembers to have seen that warrior before, and he finally says his name: "Terra..." Having remembered who Terra is, the two engage in a fierce, long battle, which ends with Terra winning. Xemnas is not disposed to give up, so he attacks the Lingering sentiment with a burst of darkness, which Terra blocks and then, attacks him with a burst of light, which weaks Xemnas. He (Xemnas) sudenly says that he wont lose his memories again, but Terra responds " Maybe not, but have already lost everything. You are just body and soul, a being without feelings, without will...without a heart". Then, he sends Xemnas to the realm of darkness again. This chapter ends with Terra saying: "Ven...Aqua.. I have finally ended this. I have finally finished with my oath.." Unlock by completing All Symphonies of Fate

Serenade of Oblivion : Ventus´heart now resides into Sora´s one. Form there, he has witnessed how did Sora gained the Keyblade, his infancy, who are his friends... But, now, Ventus feels something strange, but familiar at the same time. It is darkness, but is, in fact, not Sora´s darkness, but his. Then, he goes through all the Stations of the Awakening, wandering, looking for the source of the darkness. Finally, Ventus finds Vanitas' Sentiment in the Station of Awakening, and the two engage in a battle, in which Ventus wins. A little later, he finds a weakened Vanitas's Sentiment, which turns into Vanitas himself. He explains Ventus that, even having defeated him, darkness is almost in every heart, and that it is essential for existence. He suddenly summons Master Xehanort´s keyblade, and the two engage in battle once again. Although Ventus wins, he is suddenly knocked by Vanitas, who says that is going to "free his heart and absorb it, becoming whole once again".Ventus, remembering that his friends are his power, suddenly takes his keyblade, knocks Vaintas and ends with his existence once and for good with Master Xehanort keyblade. Then, he sleeps again, waiting for a next threat... and for his friends to come. Unlock by completing Sonata to Redemption

Dawning Requiem : The second-to-last chapter of the Birth By Sleep part starts with Vanitas awakening in the realm of darkness, after the battle with Ventus, although he does not understand why, because, being a heart consumed by Darkness, he is still being himself... Then, detecting a strange source of darkness, he goes to fight against it, moved by an unknown voice. In the way, he battles incredibly powerful heartless that do not represent much a treat to him, due to the strength of his power. After some time, he encounters Aqua, who battles him again, although she stops because there is something different in him, and both continue with their respective journey. Finally, he gets to Xemnas, who contains the source of the darkness. Thinking that Vanitas wants to battle him, he attacks him, and the two engage in a long battle, in which Vanitas wins, knocking Xemnas. Confused, he asks him why he wants to fight him, to which Vanitas responds: "You? No, it isn't you who I am looking for. It is HIM who I am looking for." Then, Master Xehanort appears, saying he is pleased to see them again. It is then revealed that Ventus heart was inside Vanitas, trying to help him to defeat Master Xehanort once and for good, because both had their motifs (Vanitas wanted to have revenge of him, while Ventus tried to eliminate him because he was a threat to everyone). Vanitas and his old master engage in an epic battle, in which Vanitas wins, but does not end with master Xehanort, because he knew that both his heart and Ventus one could end consumed by revenge, although he seals him forever in his own keyblade (Master Xehanort's one), leaving it stuck next to Xemnas. Finally, with his goal completed, he goes back to sleep again, joining with Ventus, thus achieving his final wish to become "whole again". Unlock by completing Serenade of Oblivion

Endless Ballade : Aqua is wandering through the realm of darkness, trying to get out of there. She has lost the notion of time, and she doesn't know how many time she has been there... Through the way, she battles lots of Darksides, but she feels something dark when she defeats one. After defeating the fifth Darkside, "Terra" appears. Aqua is glad to see him again, until she remembers he is not Terra, but Xehanort. The two engage in battle, and Aqua wins, but only to see that Terra has become Master Xehanort himself. He tell Aqua that, after Terranort forgot who he was, he and Terra layed on his soul, but after the transformation into a Heartless, he went to the realm of Darkness, accompanying Aqua as if he was a shadow, accumulating power until he became strong enough to be "whole" again. They engage in battle again, but he ends up severely injured, and Aqua uses this as her chance to defeat him once and for good, and attacks him with a burst of light. Then Xehanort disappears. Aqua, sad follows the endless path again, with the hope of getting out of there. The last scene shows a injured Xemnas awakening, after the battle against Vanitas, promising to himself that it is not over yet... until he wins, and then he summons Master Xehanort's keyblade...Unlock by completing Dawning Requiem

Waltz of Emptiness - Epilogue : You can play this storyline with Sora, Riku, Terra, Aqua or Ventus. The selected Keyblade master is brought to a place known as the Realm of Oblivion - even darker than the Dark Realm. In that realm dwell the fallen Organization XIII members. They fight the hero as he progresses deeper into the depths of darkness. The last one to stand is Xemnas. He tells the player that he finally regained his memories. To proof the latter statement, he summons Master Xehanort's Keyblade, and fuses it into his own body. Taking power from his memories as Terra, Master Xehanort and finally Xehanort, he confronts the player. After an exhausting battle, Xemnas is defeated. His last words are "I... I wonder where I will go now... Will I vanish like all my memories ? Will I... be whole again ?". A bright light shines then, and a mysterious voice speaks. According to it, that place is but a fragment of Kingdom Hearts. The hero has defeated the dark side of Kingdom Hearts, as well as his own. He can now proceed to the light. He then vanishes in a flash of light. Unlock by completing all storylines
