Magnet, Magnera, and Magnega are a series of magic that appears in Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. When used, it creates a vortex of magnetic force that draws in enemies, dealing continuous damage.
Mechanics[edit]
Kingdom Hearts II[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts II, Magnet is an Advanced magic that can be used by Sora. Magnera and Magnega are more powerful and pull in enemies from farther away. Magnet magic acts as a combo finisher, and if Finishing Plus is equipped, Sora can follow it up with additional combo finishers. It functions differently depending on the Drive Form:
- In Wisdom Form, the spell casts much faster, and the orb will now inflict extra damage at intervals to enemies caught.
- In Master Form, the orb lasts for a very long time, and like Wisdom Form, damages enemies caught at intervals. It has the unique effect of periodically launching targets upward before sucking them in again, allowing Sora to catch them with his aerial combos.
- In Final Form, the orb lasts for a very short time, even shorter if cast in the air; When cast on the ground, Sora is unable to take action as he is occupied with maintaining it. However, enemies caught take massive damage in very short intervals, and when the spell ends, are flung in Sora's direction so as to set up more attacks. Final Form's Magnet will have every prize and drop in the area instantly transferred to Sora.
Magnet magic costs 30 MP to use, and deals Neutral damage.
