Damage Syphon (ダメージアスピル Damēji Asupiru?, lit. "Damage Aspir"), also called MP Rage, is an ability introduced in Kingdom Hearts. It allows the user to recover their ability-fueling gauge when damage is taken. Equipping multiple copies increases the effect. The greater the damage, the greater the recovery.

Mechanics[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts, MP Rage is a support ability that restores MP when damage is taken. It costs 2 AP to equip, 3 AP in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix.

In Kingdom Hearts II, MP Rage is a support ability that restores MP when damage is taken, as long as the user is not in MP Charge. The MP recovered is based on the formula (HP damage taken ÷ maximum HP × 100[1] × no. equipped). It costs 3 AP to equip.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Damage Syphon is a support ability that restores the Focus Gauge when damage is taken. It can be equipped once.

In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Damage Syphon is a support ability that restores the active Spirits' Link Gauges by 0.5% when damage is taken. It can be equipped once. The Link Accelerator ability increases the amount of Link Gauge filled by 0.1% per level.

In Kingdom Hearts III, Damage Syphon is a support ability that restores MP when damage is taken, as long as the user is not in MP Charge. The MP recovered is based on the formula (HP damage taken ÷ maximum HP × 100 × no. equipped). It costs 3 AP to equip.
