Water Resistance

Water Resistance is a stat that appears in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts III, reducing damage taken from Water attacks. In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Sora and Riku may increase their Water Resistance by equipping the Water Screen ability (see above). In Kingdom Hearts III, Water Resistance can be raised by equipping armor.

In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Water Resistance only protects against the Damage Drain status, not against Water damage.

Several recurring elements in the Kingdom Hearts series incorporate Water into their design or conceptualization.

Dumbo attacks enemies with streams of water when summoned, albeit dealing Blizzard damage. Similarly, the Aqua Splash sleight deals Blizzard damage, and the Water Charge enemy card effect boosts the power of Blizzard attacks.

Demyx's non-physical attacks in Kingdom Hearts II have heavy influece of water on its design, albeit they deal Blizzard based damage.

The Damage Drain is associated with Water in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, in which Water Resistance protects the player from having their HP drained. Demyx's Limit Break, Wave Gigs, deals water based damage to enemies

Certain weapons and accessories are associated with water. Aqua, who is associated herself with water, wields the Rainfell and Stormfall Keyblades. Additionally, Sora's Crabclaw and Mysterious Abyss, which represent the world of Atlantica, and Riku's Ocean's Rage, which represents Prankster's Paradise and Monstro in particular, incorporate water as a major element in their designs. The Destiny's Embrace also incorporates an ocean wave in the design of its handguard.

Rings that protect against Damage Draining in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days are named after water-related terms.
