Hareraiser

Template:Enemy The Hareraiser is an Unversed that is found in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

Design

A Hareraiser is a small creature with a small resemblance to the Tornado Step Heartless. Its skin is predominantly black. It has a wide lower body with a comparatively thin neck. Its body has two short spikes for legs and lacks arms. Its head is large, round, and has two long, floppy "ears", both of which end in a wide fleur-de-lis. The tip of the Hareraiser's outer ears are dark red, while the tip of its inner ears are pink. Its red eyes are set in a sorrowful expression and the Unversed logo is on its chest.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, the Hareraiser receives a new coloration, giving it an almost completely white body with turquoise inner ears.

The name "Hareraiser" is a pun on the common phrase "hair raiser", an event is said to be so intensly frightening that it makes the hairs on the back of one's neck "stand up".

Strategy

One of the weaker Unversed, its only two attacks are to smack players with its ears or spin and shoot lasers from them. But, overall it can be defeated with little effort. However, Hareraiser Unversed very often appear in packs of several Unversed, so long-range magic spells such as Mega Flare and Deep Freeze are a great way to take several of them out without getting bombarded by lasers. To make things easier without magic, use Guard to deflect its lasers and send it back at the attacker.

Attacks

• Cartwheeel: Cartwheels around, hitting players with its ears.
• Laser Spin: Spins around while shooting lasers.
• Ear Strike: Shakes its head and whacks the player several times with its ears.
