Design
A Shoegazer's body resembles a large, black boot. This boot has a cyan strap, a silver sole, and other cyan and silver additives. The Shoegazer's blue, spherical head peeks out of the top of the boot. It has two curved horns on the top of its head, both of which point forward. Its red eyes are set in a sorrowful expression and the Unversed logo is emblazoned on the front of the boot's leg.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, the Shoegazer receives a palette swap, now sporting a brick red body, black heel and strap, and blue-grey head.
The Shoegazer's name may refer to the fact that the Unversed's head and eyes are peeking over the top of its shoe-shaped body. "Gaze" is a word that means "to stare at intently".
Strategy
A Shoegazer is a weak Unversed. Its only ability is to protect itself with a force field if left alone, but this is simply a minor setback as it can be destroyed quickly. If the player stays too close to the Shoegazer, it will fight back with a flip-kick. The best moment to strike is right after its force field is down. Shotlocks, Command Styles, and D-Links will make the fight easier.
Attacks
- Kick: Kicks the player.
- Shield: Tucks in its head and creates a shield to fend off attacks.
- Stomp: Stomps on the players head multiple times.
