Esuna (エスナ Esuna) is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. It allows the user to remove all negative status effects. In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, when used, small orange orbs appear around the player character and move down and then up the character, during this the character emits an orange aura and the spell takes effect. In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, when used, small blue orbs appear around the user, during this the character emits an orange aura, in addition to the spell healing you slightly.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Esuna is an Advanced Magic Command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck and has a normal reload time of 15 seconds.
In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Esuna is an Magic Command that has a memory consumption of 10% and a reload time of 11 seconds.
Learning Esuna
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
- Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can purchase Esuna from the Command Shop for 600 munny once five worlds are cleared or the command has already been obtained elsewhere.
Kingdom Hearts Re:coded
- Data-Sora can purchase Esuna from the Shop for 800 munny once the player has cleared Castle Oblivion.
Origin
Esuna is a recurring white magic spell in the Final Fantasy series. When cast on a character, Esuna removes most abnormal status ailments.
