No Gear (Axel)

Ashes (アッシュ, Asshu) is a weapon that can be used by Axel in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It is Axel's basic weapon, and therefore requires no Gears to be attached to him in order to wield it. In appearance, Ashes chakrams are almost entirely gray, symbolizing that it is the most basic of all of Axel's weapons through the use of achromatic colors. This weapon's combo finisher is Axel throwing Ashes far in front of him.

Design

The outer wheel of an Ashes chakram has four half-circle recessions lining it. The other four sections of the wheel each sport a spike, and the handle, which is shaped like a cross, is connected to the wheel by the four recessions. The handle is blue-grey, while the main wheel is silver on the outer edge and dark grey on the inner edge.

Trivia

• Ashes are the remnants of a fire. They are most likely named this because they are Axel's weakest weapon, seeing as all his other, more powerful weapons, have names that have to do with intense fires.
