The front page shows Sora, Riku, and Kairi as they're working on making a raft on the Destiny Islands.
Story[edit]
Sora, determined to find Riku, rushes after the man in the black coat, leaving the others to fight Shan-Yu and the Storm Rider. Li Shang orders the soldiers to take The Emperor to safety. They head into the palace, but Shan-Yu uses the Storm Rider to crash into the palace, and captures the Emperor. Li Shang tries to go after them, but is blocked by a locked door. Mulan suggests climbing the pillars using their belts. Just as Shan-Yu prepares to kill the Emperor, he gets hit in the head by the Keyblade. Sora, angered that he misses his chance of finding Riku, reveals a defeated Storm Rider behind him. Li Shang, Mulan, Donald, and Goofy manage to reach the Emperor as Sora faces Shan-Yu on the rooftops. With a single blow, Sora knocks Shan-Yu off the roof, and prepares to continue his search for Riku. However, a man in a black coat approaches the fallen Shan-Yu. Sora, thinking it is Riku, calls out to him. The man in the black coat summons an Arrowgun and finishes off Shan-Yu, before lowering his hood and introducing himself as Xigbar. Sora attacks him, but Xigbar retaliates by crashing Sora into a wall. Before leaving in a Corridor of Darkness, he tells Sora to continue beating Heartless. At that moment, Shan-Yu's sword starts to glow, and summons a Keyhole, which Sora unlocks.
As Sora is preparing to leave, Li Shang asks him to stay and join his troops. Sora suggests letting Mulan join instead. Li Shang is still hesitant, so the Emperor offers her a job as his new adviser, instead. Sora hands the paopu fruit to Li Shang, and tells him to share it with Mulan. In the Gummi Ship, Sora, Donald, and Goofy continue their journey to find Riku and defeat the Heartless.
