This Unversed loves its orbs; it won't give them up easily! It'll lose its clutch when attacked, but be quick on your toes, or it'll snatch them back up before you can say "goo".

When it's about to attack, be ready to counterattack for a chance at seizing its precious treasures.

The Gluttonous Goo is an Unversed found in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. The player can battle it for a Stun Block or Stop Barrier Action Command.

Design[edit]

The Gluttonous Goo is a large Unversed with a translucent dome connected to the top of its head. This dome is violet-blue near its top and fades to an opaque, off-white color near its base. It is covered in short, purple spikes and its rim is lined by larger spikes alternating from pale green and blue in color. Inside the dome, several balls of various colors, including purple, tan, orange, and pink, are visible. Four violet-blue, tentacle-like protrusions with pale green tips hang down from the dome. The Gluttonous Goo's head hangs down from the center of the dome's underside. It is black and enveloped in a translucent, violet-blue membrane. Its red eyes are set in a sorrowful expression and the Unversed insignia is on the back of its head. It is a palette swap of the Blobmob.

Strategy[edit]

The Gluttonous Goo's mission appears in the Launch Deck. It is a very spacious area, and there are no obstructions, but the Unversed moves at breakneck speed, and attacks frequently.

The mission is similar to a Struggle battle, requiring the protagonist to pick up more orbs than their opponent. Start with a Shotlock with a high lock-on count, like Meteor Shower. Keep a reasonable distance from the Gluttonous Goo, but do not go too far, as there are orbs that need to be collected, and the Gluttonous Goo will come back for them. Terra's Slide, Ventus's Dodge Roll and Aqua's Cartwheel are helpful. Other attacks to use while refilling the Focus Gauge include Sonic Blade, Firaga or Triple Firaga, and Thundaga.
