[[ | In ''Kingdom Hearts'', Blizzard is offensive magic that can be used by [[Sora]] and [[Donald]]. Blizzard shoots a spreading burst of ice crystals in front of the caster. The spread can hit multiple enemies, and it widens each time the spell is upgraded. However, most of the time, only one crystal can hit an enemy, the others going past them into either other enemies or the wall. Blizzara and Blizzaga fire larger ice crystals, creating a larger spread. Blizzard magic costs one Charge Gauge unit. | ||

Blizzard, Blizzara, and Blizzaga are a series of magic introduced in Kingdom Hearts. They utilize the element of ice and are associated with the Frost material. In all of its appearances, Blizzard appears as a projectile; however, the specific execution and effects of the spell differ between games.
In Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage- and Kingdom Hearts III, Blizzaza, also translated as Blizzaja, appears as an even more powerful tier.
Mechanics[edit]
Kingdom Hearts[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts, Blizzard is offensive magic that can be used by Sora and Donald.
Blizzard magic can be used to extinguish fires, such as the candles in the First District. It is also used at the Camp to turn a Potion into an Ether in a scientific experiment.
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Blizzard is a magic card that can be used by Sora. When used, Sora fires a small crystal that bursts into a bigger one upon hitting an enemy, or after travelling 1/3 of the screen's width. Blizzara and Blizzaga form a bigger ice crystal, which can hit multiple enemies. In Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, the spell works the same as in Kingdom Hearts.
The Donald and Jack Friend Cards and their associated Sleights can cast Blizzard magic when used. In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Donald's and Jack's Blizzard homes in on the target, while in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, it works the same as in Kingdom Hearts.
The Blizzard card is required for the following sleights:

Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-, Blizzaga is a default offensive spell in which Aqua casts a shard of ice. If there are enemies nearby, the shard homes in on the nearest enemy. Once it hits an enemy, it instantly freezes them, allowing Aqua to continue her assault. If there are no enemies, Blizzaga travels in a straight line, creating a sheet of ice for Aqua to use Flowmotion. It consumes 12 MP, 15 MP prior to Update 1.02.
Repeatedly casting Blizzaga results in the Blizzaja Situation Command, in which Aqua fires a larger icicle that has a larger area of effect.
Kingdom Hearts III[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts III, Blizzard, Blizzara, and Blizzaga are magic spells that launch a homing shard of ice at the enemy, dealing Blizzard damage and leaving a line of ice behind which can be sled on using Flowmotion. The size and impact of the shard of ice varies depending on the tier used. Blizzard also will inflict the Freeze status effect on enemies it is used on, lasting for 5 seconds with Blizzard, 7 seconds with Blizzara, and 10 seconds with Blizzaga and Blizzaza. Blizzard consumes 12 MP, Blizzara 17 MP, and Blizzaga 24 MP. Repeatedly casting Blizzaga in battle can result in the Blizzaza Situation Command, which casts a larger shard of ice with more impact.
Kingdom Hearts Dark Road[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts Dark Road, Blizzard is a magic ability that deals Water damage.
Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, Blizzaga is an ability usable by Aqua. It is triggered by activating an Ability Crystal near an airborne enemy.
