Card:09 Good-bye, Vexen, also called Card 09: Goodbye, Vexen, is the ninth chapter in the Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories manga.
Story[edit]
Sora, Donald, and Goofy enter Twilight Town. Sora says he does not remember the place, but that it does feel familiar. When they arrive at the Old Mansion, they come across Vexen, who claims the town is from the other side of Sora's memories. Vexen tries explaining Sora is being manipulated by Marluxia, but Axel appears and strikes him down. Vexen tries to defend himself, but is quickly annihilated. Sora watches in shock, and Axel gives him another card so he can figure things out for himself.
Back in Castle Oblivion, Marluxia and Larxene congratulate Axel on passing the test, and let them in on their plan of taking over the Organization. In the basement, Lexaeus and Zexion deduce Vexen has been eliminated, and Zexion tasks Lexaeus with capturing Riku.
When Donald voices his concerns over Sora's plans to go for Naminé, Sora gets angry and continues on without Donald and Goofy. Meanwhile, Axel lets Naminé escape.
