The Flowersnake is an Unversed that appears in Kingdom Hearts III.

Design[edit]

The Flowersnake is a monstrous Unversed, resembling a half-snake half-flower creature. Its main body is purple and is shaped like a snake. It has a pink bulb-like head which opens to reveal a black spherical face inside its mouth. Its red eyes are pointed downward and to both sides of its head are a pair of purple bat-like wings with an orange curved stripe on each wing. On the bottom of its body is a pot shaped stem with the Unversed symbol on its front and a pair of black zig-zags on both sides.

Strategy[edit]

The Flowersnake can appear in either Snake Mode, where it slithers around on the ground, or Flower Mode, where it affixes itself to a wall or pillar. While in Snake Mode, it may jump toward a wall or pillar and switch to Flower Mode. If struck by an attack, the Flowersnake will switch to Snake Mode. When grouped with another Flowersnake, they may use Sound Wave Attack and Bite in tandem on the same target.

Fire magic is the best way to defeat Flowersnakes, as they are weak to it, and the range of the magic can help clear them out more easily while clinging to high-reaching surfaces. Air Slide is useful for getting around the ponds of poison they create while in Flower Mode.

The Flowersnake can get eaten by a Spiked Turtletoad, where it then becomes merged with it in its Flower Mode and scatters poison nearby randomly when the Spiked Turtletoad uses its spinning attack. The Flowersnake is invincible in this state, and will only be slain alongside the Spiked Turtletoad. Some Flowersnakes spawn merged with a Spiked Turtletoad.
