[[Ansem, Seeker of Darkness]] opens the door to [[Kingdom Hearts]], to absorb the darkness within. [[Sora]], [[Donald]], and [[Goofy]] try to stop him, but are held back by the darkness. Then, Sora exclaims that there is always a light inside a heart, so Kingdom Hearts has to be light, as well. A blinding light comes through the door, evaporating Ansem. Sora, Donald, and Goofy try to close the door, but it is too heavy. [[Riku]] appears from the other side of the door to help close it. Several Heartless appear behind the door, but they are defeated by [[King Mickey]]. As King Mickey assures Sora there will always be a door to the light, and Riku tells Sora to take care of [[Kairi]], they close the door, and seal it with Sora and King Mickey's [[Keyblade]]s, causing the door to disappear. | |||

Episode 42: Beyond the Door, also called Episode 42: Behind the Door, is the forty-second chapter in the Kingdom Hearts manga.
The back page shows the drawing in the Secret Place by Sora and Kairi.
Story[edit]
Ansem, Seeker of Darkness opens the door to Kingdom Hearts, to absorb the darkness within. Sora, Donald, and Goofy try to stop him, but are held back by the darkness.
