Blizzard (card).png

Blizzard (ブリザド Burizado?), Blizzara (ブリザラ Burizara?), and Blizzaga (ブリザガ Burizaga?) are a series of magic that appears in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts coded, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. They utilize the element of ice and are associated with the Frost material. In all of its appearances, Blizzard appears as a projectile; however, the specific execution and effects of the spell differ between games.

Mechanics

Kingdom Hearts

In Kingdom Hearts, Blizzaga sprays seven wisps of frost which erupt into giant crystals if they hit an enemy.

In Kingdom Hearts, Blizzard magic can be used by Sora and Donald. Blizzard shoots a spreading burst of ice crystals in front of the caster. The spread can hit multiple enemies, and it widens each time the spell is upgraded. Blizzara and Blizzaga fire larger ice crystals, creating a larger spread. Blizzard magic costs one Charge Gauge unit, and its power is determined by the following equations:

  • Blizzard: Power = (Max MP) + 22
  • Blizzara: Power = (Max MP) + 26
  • Blizzaga: Power = (Max MP) + 32

As a summon, Genie has access to any magic Sora has already learned, including Blizzard magic.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Blizzard is a magic card that can be used by Sora. In Chain of Memories, the Blizzard card is within Sora's initial deck, while in Re:Chain of Memories, he finds in a barrel during the tutorial in Traverse Town's Unknown Room.[KH Re:CoM]
The Donald and Jack friend cards and their associated sleights can cast Blizzard magic when used.
