Design

A Blue Sea Salt is a medium-sized creature resembling a blue pot. Its lid is black with a small, conical, blue spike on it. The base of the pot is also black, with two short spikes on it. It has a short, blue, lightning-bolt shaped "wing" on either side of its body. Its large, red eyes take up most of the front of its body and are set in an angry expression. The Unversed insignia is on its back.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, the Blue Sea Salt receive a palette swap which gives it a brighter, mainly sky blue body with a white base.

Like the Red Hot Chili and Yellow Mustard, the Blue Sea Salt is named after a color and a food.

Strategy

The Blue Sea Salt Unversed is a master of Blizzard magic. It attacks by shooting ice shards at the player or dropping a single mass of Ice on the player. When its HP is low, it starts spinning on itself, creating a small tornado and freezing the player if they're unlucky enough to have contact with it in this state. Since it is always in the air, aerial attacks are needed to defeat them. Fire based attacks or the Firestorm Command Style will deal great damage to it.

Attacks

  • Deep Freeze: Spins when HP is low, creating a small tornado that freezes players on contact.
  • Ice Shards: Shoots Ice shards at the player.
  • Ice Block: Drops a mass of ice on the player.
