The Lovers (ザ・ラバーズ Za Rabāzu ) is a weapon that can be used by Luxord in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to The Lovers+.
Design
A card from The Lovers deck is identical in shape to a card from The Hermit deck, differing only in color. It has an octagonal shape and a white border. There is another, black, inside border and a black cross design on the face of the card. There is a black circle close to each of the cross's four corners. The rest of the card is purple. There are two oval-shaped sections taken out of each long side of the card.
The Lovers is one of twenty-two cards that make up a Tarot deck's Major Arcana. It is numbered VI (6).
Gameplay
The Lovers's normal ground combo starts with an upward spiral of cards, followed by Luxord performing a 360-degree spin, with his cards surrounding his legs, and ends with a spinning leap, surrounded in an upward spiral of cards. The combo can be activated after the first attack and consists of Luxord throwing a line of cards forwards then flipping them over, followed by a narrow spray of cards forwards.
The aerial combo consists of Luxord performing a spinning leap, surrounded in an upward spiral of cards before ending with a two-handed diagonal swipe downwards with a large card held in each hand.
