Firefly (飛蛍 Tobu Hotaru , lit. "Flitting Firefly") is one of Lexaeus's axe swords in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to Firefly+. When equipped with Firefly or Firefly+, Lexaeus's attack on the ground beings with a short charge, then a straight and forward uppercut. His aerial attack becomes a straight upward jab.
Design
The Firefly’s handle has a sky blue tip and a pale yellow spike in its pommel, while the handle itself is red. The counterweight is curved and silver. The blade is sharp and curved and has three curved spikes lining its outer edge. The Firefly is predominantly light blue with silver edges.
A firefly is a type of beetle that can emit light from their abdomens. "Flitting" means "fluttering quickly".
Gameplay
The Firefly's ground combo starts with a slow, one-handed upward slash, followed by two identical, but much quicker upward slashes. Lexaeus then leaps into the air while performing a two-handed upward slash, and the combo ends with a powerful, two-handed downward slam.
The aerial combo consists of a two-handed upward slash followed by a powerful, two-handed downward slam. This weapon has no combo.
