No Gear (Xaldin)

Zephyr is a set of Xaldin's lances in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It is Xaldin's basic weapon, and therefore requires no Gears to be attached to him in order to wield it. In appearance, Zephyr is almost entirely gray, symbolizing that it is the most basic of all of Xaldin's weapons through the use of achromatic colors.

Design

A Zephyr lance's shaft is white in the center and black on the ends, the two colors being separated by small, light gray rings. The lower end of the lance is shaped like a gray, elongated diamond. The upper end is larger and shaped more like an arrowhead with a black center and light gray edges.

The name "Zephyr" comes from a word that refers to a light, westerly wind, which is, in turn, derived from the name of the Greek god of the west wind, Zephyrus.

Gameplay

Zephyr's attack combo is exactly the same as the Lindworm, on the ground starting with two slashes and all six lances being thrust at once, in the air starting with two slashes and all six lances thrusting at once.
