The Vile Phial is an Unversed that is found in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

Design

A Vile Phial is a small creature that resembles an hourglass-shaped vial. Its base is round and has two short "arms" on either side of it. The neck of the bottle is comparatively thin and it is capped off by a lid with a large, violet gemstone for a handle. The Vile Phial is predominantly violet with silver highlights. Its eyes are red and set in a happy expression.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, the Vile Phial receives a palette swap which gives it a dark-green body and an orange gemstone handle.

Battle

Attacks

• Aromatherapy (アロマセラピー, Aromaserapī): The Vile Phial heals itself or other Unversed.
• Poison Rush (ポイズン突進, Poizun Tosshin): The Vile Phial darts towards its target and poisons them.
• Drain Mist (ドレインミスト, Dorein Misuto): The Vile Phial sprays poison at its target, gradually decreasing their HP.

Strategy

The Vile Phial focuses on healing itself and its allies, similar to the Green Requiem and Crescendo; if Confused, it will heal the player character instead. It inflicts the Poison status if it collides with an opponent, so a good way to defeat it is to guard against its attacks and strike when it's stunned.
