Deep Freeze, also called Freeze, is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. It allows the user to freeze surrounding enemies in a block of ice. If frozen enemies are struck, extra damage is dealt, regardless of the attributes and overall strength of the attack used. It deals blizzard damage.
Mechanics[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Freeze is a Magic Sleight that can be used by Sora. When used, nearby enemies are frozen for 7 seconds. If the enemy is attacked while frozen, it is unfrozen after taking extra damage equivalent to an attack with a x10.0 power modifier. If Freeze is used on an already frozen enemy, it will stay frozen.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Deep Freeze is an Ultimate magic command that takes up two slots in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 5 and a normal reload time of 20 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 38%.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Deep Freeze is a magic command that uses two slots in the Command Deck and has a reload time of 32 seconds. It grants +4 to Magic and +25 to Blizzard Resistance when attached to a Dream Eater recipe.

Vexen uses Freeze as one of his Sleights in battle. It allows him to generate an ice block that freezes the target. In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, frozen targets gradually lose HP, while in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Vexen swings his shield to attack frozen targets.
