Urd is a character in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road. She is one of Xehanort's and Eraqus's classmates and a fellow Keyblade wielder.

Story[edit]

Kingdom Hearts Dark Road[edit]

As one of Odin's lowerclassmen, Urd and her classmates are informed that the upperclassmen have gone missing after embarking on their Mark of Mastery exam, having gone outside the borders of Scala ad Caelum. As such, Odin had sent Baldr out on another task, due to his sister being one of the upperclassmen. While traditionally not taught to lowerclassmen, Odin unlocks the Lanes Between in hopes that Urd and the other lowerclassman could search for their missing comrades.

While discussing what to do next, Bragi looks to Xehanort for advice, given that he was the only one of them who had ever seen the outside worlds. Xehanort revisits Odin's explanation of how the worlds are reforming at different rates, with some still being incomplete while others have begun progressing through time again. To this end, Urd stresses that they need to make sure they do not mention any other worlds in order to maintain the world order. Xehanort then suggests that the rules can be bent depending on the state of the world, and the wielders split up into three groups, donning Keyblade Armor and Gliders for the first time.

This information is based on alternate scenes or materials and is only considered in continuity if Player selects Urd to join the Party.
Arriving in Agrabah, Xehanort, Eraqus, and Urd are promptly attacked by the Heartless. After looking around for clues, they notice that the world is empty, striking up a debate between Urd and her comrades, in which they conclude that living beings must be the final component that is restored in a world. This prompts Eraqus to ask if there had been any monsters in Xehanort's world, which he denies, leading Eraqus to assume that the monsters they'd fought must be free to run about until the living beings are restored. It's Urd who suggests that the monsters could be the Heartless Odin had told them about, to which Eraqus wonders how Emblem Heartless, which were projected by the Book of Prophecies from the future in the world of the past, can be there now. While Xehanort believes this to be a clue, Urd suggests that the Heartless may have attacked the upperclassmen as well.

The group resolves to return only once they've found something, ultimately coming across stronger Heartless. Although Eraqus brushes off their opponents, Xehanort points out that they have each other to rely on, while the upperclassmen had been alone. When Eraqus wonders what the upperclassmen would have done upon encountering the stronger Heartless, Urd and Xehanort suggest different outcomes, allowing Eraqus to surmise that the stronger Heartless could not have been the reason why all of the upperclassmen disappeared, as some would react differently than others.

Regrouping back in Scala ad Caelum, Urd and the other lowerclassmen discuss their findings, resulting in Eraqus and Xehanort deciding that they should refrain from telling Odin anything for now, believing themselves to have the same resolve as the upperclassmen. Despite this, Eraqus cements that, should any of them feel ill-equipped to deal with a Heartless, they should flee, something which Bragi jokes at Eraqus's expense for.

In Wonderland, Urd waits alongside Xehanort and Eraqus for Bragi, Hermod, and Vor, with Eraqus growing impatient and believing something to be wrong, whilst his contemporaries do not. Suddenly, Cheshire Cat appears, startling Eraqus and informing the group that waiting for their friends is pointless, because they are under lock and key, but regardless their answer would be arriving soon. Card Soldiers arrive and attempt to arrest Urd, Eraqus, and Xehanort, but they abandon their mission in wake of potentially missing the trial that is about to start. Not understanding what their comrades could be on trial for, the group assesses that Wonderland must have its own set of rules, and hurry off to save their friends.
