Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, stylized as Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 + II.5 ReMIX, is a compilation game comprised of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX for the PlayStation 4.

It includes:

It was later re-released in North America as part of a combo pack known as Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far alongside Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue.

Features

  • All titles from the original HD re-releases are present on a single disc.[1]
  • All six titles run at 60 frames per second.[2]
  • A new redesigned main menu to fit all six titles, as well as credits for both 1.5 ReMIX and 2.5 ReMIX, individually and extras.[3]
  • Subtitles have been reduced in size to accommodate larger resolutions.[4]
  • Changes on how certain PSN trophies are obtained to make things easier,[5][citation needed] though none of the trophies earned in the PS3 version transfer over to this game as the trophies from the PS4 releases are presented separately on the PSN trophy list. Additionally the trophies for both of the HD Cinematic versions of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded have been removed from the PS4 version.[6][citation needed]
  • A number of cards in Re:Chain of Memories have been updated with new images.[citation needed]
  • The load times have been improved which has also removed the load time glitch that was previously in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX for the Drive Forms in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix or the D-Links in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix.
  • The wallpaper designs for the PlayStation system's main menu are retained for the PS4 version by completing each game. However, unlike with the games in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, as these wallpapers were originally designed for the PS3 system, the images do not switch when the player moves from the lower menu to the upper menu. Instead, the outer coloring slightly changes by brightening or darkening as long as the player stays in the upper area of the PS4's main menu.
  • Following the 1.03 patch update, two new free DLC were introduced in the PlayStation Store. These are a new Theater Mode for Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and extending the cutscene for Day 357 in the HD version of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days to include Roxas fighting against Xion's Final Form.[7][8]
  • Donald and Goofy no longer attack the Pink Agaricus if the player presses Triangle, making it much easier for Sora to land 100 hits on it. This change was necessary to fix the problem created by Kingdom Hearts Final Mix HD, wherein by changing Sora's special attacks to be bound to Reaction Commands, or Triangle, it would also inadvertently call his party members for help with the same input. As a result, Sora's teammates would attack the Pink Agaricus if he attempted to use special attacks such as Ragnarok against it, making it extremely difficult to achieve 100 hits.[9]
