The End is a phrase used to refer to the ending of a work of fiction. It is included in almost ever Kingdom Hearts game to this date. Dearly Beloved is often the theme that plays during the ending frame of the game. When a "The End" screen appears, there is usually no user input, however in later games such as Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, due to the fact that these savings may have later use.

The End screen in Kingdom Hearts is simply the cover artwork of the North American version, with "The End" written in a white font at the bottom left. Dearly Beloved -Reprise- plays in this incarnation of The End.
