A Mythril Crystal, the rarest of the Mythril materials

Mythril (ミスリル Misuriru?) is a material type available in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. Mythril materials contain a rare metal, and are colored purple. In Kingdom Hearts II, once all Mythril materials are obtained the Moogle will reward Sora with a AP Boost.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix introduced the Mythril Stone, dropped only by the Pot Scorpion. Mythril Shards are only dropped by the Barrel Spider, Pot Spider and Bambi, and Mythril is only dropped by Bambi.

Etymology

The term mithril (or mythril) was a legendary ore that originated in the J.R.R Tolkien 'Legendarium'. It was said to shimmer like the sun and be harder than anything known.
