Introduction
Hey there! This is the 17master, Erry, and ANX219 walkthrough for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. The walkthrough is still under development so expect updates soon. Right now, I'm still playing the game myself and I'm already a few Days ahead, so after I complete the game, I'll return to the Days before and complete the walkthrough. Story
Day 7: Number XIV
This is a pretty short day, Axel talks to you and then a meeting happens in Where Nothing Gathers and Xion is chosen to become a member of Organization XIII.
All you need to know is just to move the D-Pad, but everyone knows how to do that. As well as pressing to talk to people.
Day 8: The Icing on the Cake
Today's the first day we get an actual mission, and with Axel!
Roxas's Diary
You get another entry for Roxas's Diary, Day 7: Entry 1.
Missions
New story mission
When going through the underground concourse, you'll want to get as much objects in one go, so anything like a box or treasure chest, open it and get it, you'll need it later. The treasure chest(Potion) is at the topmost exit in the underground concourse.
Just press start on your DS console and select save and choose a slot and that's it.
Press to jump, you can jump to ledges which will also allow you to pull up to get to the high area. Press up on the D-Pad to get up, or to drop down instead.
Press to enter freelook mode, use the D-Pad to alter the view and press any other button besides the D-Pad or to leave freelook mode. Or you can use the stylus on the bottom panel of the DS console to alter the view on the fly.
These X's are creepy, but they keep you on your mission instead of going elsewhere. They're pretty much uninteresting and useless to you.
Press to open them and get extra-neat stuff.
Backpack holds everything you get in your missions, such as Potions, Ethers and Synthesizing items. To get to it, press until you hit Items and press to go into your backpack. Items can be used or thrown away into the world, but you can get it back again.
RTC means return to the castle, you have to get back to the dark corridor to end the mission, get there by finding the "flame"-like image on your touchscreen map.
Day 9: Heartless
New story mission
Roxas's Diary
You get another entry for Roxas's Diary, Day 8: Entry 2.
This mission is pretty easy, all you need to do is fight the Heartless that show up, just be careful of not getting hit too much, you have no life-force besides HP orbs. After doing your mission, you can choose to RTC or explore this area, there's nothing to do here besides walk, so just RTC.
Keep pressing to do a "devastating" combo.
Enemies will drop prizes when defeated, I'd call one of these a prize, the rest are just normal.
- HP Orb
- Munny Orb
- Prize Box which will contain an item
Press the Right trigger rapidly twice to lock-on, press it again to change targets, then rapidly press it twice again to leave lock-on mode.
Heart Points are essentially the cash given by the Organization, at least in my eyes. You can use these in the shop in The Grey Area, talk to the Organization's Moogle.
Defeat enemies and another enemy will have a ring of light around them, defeat them to gain more and more Heart Points. Eventually, if you hit Heartless enough times, the Heart Point counter to the top left will start flashing blue, that is when it is unbreakable, so take advantage of that.
Day 10: Incomplete
New story mission
The mission objective is shown on the lower screen, that's all you'll need to know.
Enemies are white dots, you are a blue arrow in a blue circle, your partner is shown as a red arrow and the RTC is shown as a blue flame.
You have to fill it up until it says Mission Complete on the screen, however why stop there? Do more and you could get something special in return.
Day 11: Keyblade
New story mission, and you now have access to the Panel system, equip the 3 Fire panels you were given and a few potions and talk to Saïx.
Make sure after defeating all Heartless to open the 3 chests, they contain Ethers.
Make sure to have an optimal set up, if you don't, you'll have to withdraw and re-set up your panels.
Keep pressing until you hit the Magic button, press to choose one of the spells you have, press it again on the spell you want and Roxas will cast it against the enemy. Use Ethers to recover magic.
Keep pressing until you hit the Items button, press to choose an item, press it again to use it.
Ethers will help you recover magic, Potions will help you recover HP, Elixirs will help you recover both.
Hold the Left trigger while selecting an item or magic, then press one of the following: to set it as a shortcut. Hold the Left trigger again to enter the shortcut menu, press either one of the previous buttons to cast that spell or use that item.
Day 12: A Closed World
New story mission, with Vexen joining us.
You can use Type B controls which features a more flexible camera, I prefer Type A, myself.
Go around examining points that are highlighted on the map after discovery. You'll have to kill any Heartless around before you actually can examine points. Examining will get you a new breakthrough which will give you more places to examine.
Day 13: Deeds to be Done
Time to learn about Limit Breaks with Lexaeus.
It's ANX219 here again. I'm going to do the walkthrough for mission 6. So, let's do it.
This mission is very short. Lexaeus knocks you HP down to the yellow section to be on your last legs. A Mega-Shadow will appear and you will have to defeat it with a Limit Break. Then, RTC since there are now treasure chests.
Hold down when the word limit appears above your HP bar. Rapidly press and the enemy will take a lot of damage.
Day 14: Friends
A new story mission, this time with Axel... again!
Erry's back in place for Day 14!
Make sure to equip lots of potions, at least 6 for the mission. When you start the mission, go to Station Heights and go downhill, get the Potion in the chest and then go back up and a fight will start. Get all chests and defeat all Heartless on the way back to the portal to get extra bonuses.
Roxas's Diary
You get another entry for Roxas's Diary, Day 9: Entry 3.
Tasks/Gifts
- Talk to Larxene and she'll give you a Potion and tell you to take a hike
Go to the start menu and choose "Holo-Missions" which you've done previously.
Installing a weapon will change your Keyblade's appearance and stats. Since you have Skill Gear, install it.
Talk to Saïx and he'll give you a list of missions, you choose which ones you want to do and boycott the ones you don't.
Days 15, 16 & 17: Missions
Today you have 3 missions, recommended order to do them:
1.8
2.9
3.10
Tasks/Gifts
Stock up on magic, you'll need them for the Watchers.
Ignore the Shadows and walk to the hole in the wall in the Tram Common, then go through the woods to the Mansion, there is where the Dire Plants will be, deflect the seeds and use lots of fire. To get to the Zip Slasher, go towards where the Tram is stored, there it'll be waiting for you. Equip block before the mission as it is quite useful against the Zip Slasher. Make good use of your Limit, otherwise you'll be dead before you know it. Just block its hits and attack, it'll be down in no time.
This mission is pretty easy, either Dodge roll all over the place or mash the button, and if a limit comes, make sure to utilize it. Take lots of potions, you'll need them.
These missions are effectively Story missions. They're pointed out by a Keyblade icon, you can later choose to advance if you've done all story missions or you can complete the optional ones and then advance, your choice.
Day 22: Left Behind
Roxas's Diary
You get another entry for Roxas's Diary, Day 15: Entry 5 .
Open the chest inside the Underground Concourse which will give you a Loaded Gear.
Day 23: Silent Companion
Tasks/Gifts
- Talk to Demyx and he'll give you a Blazing Shard.
Roxas's Diary
You get another entry for Roxas's Diary, Day 22: Entry 6.
Use fire on the Poison Plant, that is all.
Blue lines depict where you can place panels that will link, Doublecast will raise stats as well as give you x2 of the spell you equip.
Day 173: Lies
Axel talked to Saix about Xion, sadly, no answer :( Roxas seems pretty happy knowing Saix would stop calling her "Broken", though. And... Look! a new tutorial! It's been awhile, hasn't it?
Basically, some abilities panels costs more than one panel. We already knew about that, though, this tutorial is late, really. Abilities that costs one panel are like Weapon panels, they can be linked with additional panels to power up the ability, like the Air Dash panel. If you equip an Air Slide LV+( ) panel, you can dash twice in the air.
Roxas's Diary
You get another entry for Roxas's Diary: Day 172: Xion's Collapsed.
Tasks/Gifts
- Talk to Axel, he'll give you a task to equip a weapon panel with 3 or more units attached. By now, you should already use one, so talk to him again, and Saix will have a new mission for you.
- Talk to Luxord, he'll ask you to synthesize a weapon with Gear Component A( ), Rune Tech( ), and Bronze( ), which is the Chrono Gear+( ). Go make one if you haven't, and talk to Luxord again afterwards. You'll receive a Shining Gem.
Shop
- You can now synthesize: Duel Gear++( ), Phantom Gear++( ), Prestige Gear+( ), Crisis Gear( ), Raider's Ring, Thunder Charm, Recovery Ring, and Vitality Ring.
Mission
New World: Neverland
- 3 new missions
- 1 new task mission
Two are optional, while two are story-related.
Recommended Order:
1.52
2.54
3.55
4.53
First things first, you'll need 8 Fire panels. Either bring some and restore them with Ethers or Hi-Ethers, or use the magic multiplier panel, which I highly recommend and you should've used one by now. I also recommend bringing in some extras for Snowy Crystals or Skater Bomb. Alright then, welcome to Halloween Town again! If you look at your right you'll see a weird, floating balloon, examine it and... OMG GIANT WORMS(A.K.A. Creepworm-One hit K.O. hit)!! Yes, interacting with floating balloons will make Heartless appear, so try and find as many as you can! Also, bones are scattered around again, which means you can pick one for Zero. Check around the Plaza for some balloons, then go to the Graveyard. In the Graveyard, you'll see a cutscene involving Jack and Zero. Apparently he has a new idea of using lanterns. after the cutscene, lit the four lanterns using fire, examine the coffin, and go towards the gate. Then you'll see the coffin opens up. Proceed. In the next area(here --> [1]), lit up the four lanterns again and go to the newly opened door. Prepare for a boss battle!
They're quite easy really. whenever you see a pumpkin with a huge number above them, BARREL ROLL DODGE ROLL!. Chase them afterwards and attack them one-by-one. Don't worry, their dashing attacks deals a small amount of damage.
Rats, they got away >:( Hey look, it's Zero! Give him the bone to ask for his help and find the rest of the Heartless.
Day 174: Action, Reaction
Roxas's Diary
You get another entry for Roxas's Diary, Day 173: Picking Up the Slack.
Shop
- You can now synthesize: Blizzara

Okay... a target hunting mission... and we're paired with Demyx? Sheesh, what's Xemnas thinking? :/ Oh well, can't be too pic-WHAT'S THAT BEHIND YOUR BACK?! Oh, a Unity Badge. Grab it. Keep going forward to find a chest(Gust Shard) there.
Head to the Town Square (map here on the bottom --> [2])and be prepared for our target will show up.
Yikes, it's huge. Btw, you'll see a Snowy Crystal here, don't bother to attack it since a new one will spawn. As big and menacing as it is, it's waaaaaay weaker than Zip Slasher. It almost has the same move pattern, it blocks by crossing both of its swords in front of him before doing the spinning-thrust attack. Now, don't worry, this time, the spinning-thrust attack won't heal it. It also got another move at his disposal, it'll fire an Aerora spell, so be sure to dodge that one or you'll fly (then again, flying sounds fun...). All-in-all, you should beat this Heartless with ease. Try and block its spinning-thrust attack, it'll be staggered for a while which leaves you a chance to beat it up.
Grab a badge(Ordeal) on the top of the fountain, and head for the house besides the entrance to the graveyard, and grab another badge(Ordeal Blazon) and open up a chest(Aerial Recovery LV+(L)) there. RTC afterwards since there's nothing left to do.

Ugh, I hate emblem collecting mission. I really have no tips for these kinds of mission, it depends on yourself really, how good you can handle Roxas's movement and stuff. I think the only tip I can give you here is to equip Air Slide and High Jump panel. Also, be on the lookout for Sapphire Elegies and Grey Caprices since they both drop Rune Techs and Gear Component Bs, respectively. And Gigas-Shadows also drop Elixir Recipes, so you may want to beat them up, too.

It's a new world! Welcome to Neverland! Is it just me or does the soundtrack for this world sucked? :/ For preparations, you'll need a Nimble Gear( ) or any gear that supports long air-combo. I heavily suggests that you go and synthesize a Nimble Gear+ right now if you still don't have one. Move until you see a cutscene- hey it's old man Hook! He seems pissed about finding yet another empty treasure chest, and- OMG Heartless! They'll run like a chicken and it's your chance to take 'em out. You'll encounter some new enemies here, the Turquoise March uses water magic, and they have the same pattern move as Crimson Jazz, only their attack won't bounce off like their fireballs, it'll create a small pillar of water. Air Battler is similar to the Air Pirates, the only problem here is chasing them as they fly around. After the short battle, examine the pit made by Smee to get a Gust Shard, and go to the other side of it and take a Badge. Head to the ship afterwards. Aster the cutscene, Roxas can fly! A new tutorial appears.
Basically, you press to jump, and use to start flying. Use to go down and to go up while flying. This new "feature" is the exact reason why i told you to get a Nimble Gear+.
Now that you can fly, fly up to the higher parts of the island, examine the holes to spawn some Heartless. After you finish those Heartless, check the hole again to get some items. Our target is in the west, grey mountain. Check the hole and the Wavecrest will appear.
This guy's a Wyvern type enemy like the Tailbunker. It has similar attacks, except for the ground stomping move. Just attack this guy continuously until your attack is repelled- if this happens when you're attacking it in the air, go down immediately, and if you're on the ground, barrel roll dodge roll( ), for it will spin forward and deal a good amount of damage if you don't dodge it. Other than that, lock-on and attack its tail and it shall fall with ease.
Check the remaining holes for some Heart Points Heartless and items and RTC. ...>wait, what? RTC?! What about Tinkerbell? Roxas abandoned her?!
Day 193: Memories
Xion woke up! That's awesome. Saix is still antagonizing her by calling her "it", though. Anyhoos guess what? You'll be going on a mission... with 2 partners!
Tasks/Gifts
- Talk to Xaldin, he'll ask you to synthesize something with Moonstone( ) and Shield Tech( )... which is Perfect Block( ). Just synthesize it since it's useful for you, too. Afterwards he'll reward you with a Rune Tech( )

Stock up Fire panels before going on the mission. Grab the chests(the chest next to the "Usual Spot" contains a Tricky Monkey, DON'T OPEN IT!) and a badge(Ordeal Badge) in the area, and you'll notice that there is a new enemy, the Detonator, which is about 5x bigger than a normal Minute Bomb. Scary? No. Use fire and they'll go boom. Easy. Head to the Sandlot and prepare to fight the Heat Saber.
Okay, first, don't go after the Heat Saber, notice that it glows, and you can't attack it. Look for the Barrier Master that makes the Heat Saber invincible, and use Fire on it, it'll take one bar of its health. After the Barrier Master is finished, you can continue to pummel the Heat Saber. True to its name (and red blade) it can use fire spell, so be careful of Ignite status effect. It can also jump and stomp, his stomp will deal a good amount of damage and ignite status effect so be ready with dodge roll. And after it blocks, it can either do the spinning-thrust attack or use a more powerful thrust attack. It'll also do the spinning-thrust if it held both of its blade on bottom-right. Having Axel and Xion in this mission is really handy, while they'll heal you frequently, you can also retreat the battle to heal while the two fight it.
After this, head to the Station Heights while you grab an emblem(Unity Badge) and open a treasure chest on the way, go to the Station afterwards. OMG. Xion passed out... AGAIN. And the Destroyer showed up, too... this is bad. While Axel takes care of Xion, you'll face the Destroyer by yourself.
Okay, this guy is no pushover, its upwards laser attack is dangerous, VERY dangerous. Depending on your status, it might kill you instantly, or put you on a critical mode with only 15% HP left. I really recommend using Fire magics in this battle, Auto-Life panel( ) is also important, and Limit Break is too risky as it can fire its upwards laser while you're attacking. Other than the upwards laser attack, it'll fire laser at your direction and follow you wherever you go, you can dodge roll this attack. And there's a treasure chest(Slot Releaser-Left Thunder Recipe-Right) on the left and right-most corner of the area, be sure to grab them because you'll RTC immediately after the battle. Other than that, Pray to your own God, and put a pillow on the corner- in case you want to emocorner for not being able to defeat this guy.
Axel'll ask Roxas to RTC due to Xion's condition. And here comes Saix, he's being a jerk again, and this time Axel steps up to him... which is nice. VERY nice.
Day 194: Like It Should Be
Roxas's Diary
You get another entry for Roxas's Diary, Day 193: Best Friends .
Tasks/Gifts
- Talk to Xion to obtain a Bronze
- Talk to Xigbar, he'll challenge you to defeat 30 enemies using Limit Breaks. Don't worry if you lost count, ask him and he'll tell you how many have you beaten. He'll reward you with a new mission afterwards
Missions
- 3 new missions
- 1 new task mission
two is optional, while two are story-related.
Recommended Order:
1. 59
2. 58
3. 57
4. 60
Day: 194
OLA AMIGO 17master is back to guide you!
Okay, prepare for a bunch of Fire panels since the Poison Plants will annoy you, and Fire takes out a lot of thr health.
You're probably wondering right now "why the hell did you categorize this mission as target hunting?" well, to find the Shining Shards, you need to defeat a certain target- the Guardians. The thing is about this mission, you'll find 2 previous bosses to be normal enemies here. Tailbunker will appear in the Tram Common along with Guardians, although the Tailbunker could proof to be quite difficult, the Guardians are in fact, easy to kill. And you only need to kill about 5 of them to fully complete the mission.
First, grab the treasure chest nearby, and you can ignore the Poison Plants that appear here (except if you're low in Heart points, you should the hell out of them). Go to the Tram Common next, you'll see a Tailbunker flying in front of you. Again, this guy is completely optional you can beat him up or leave him flying harmlessly . Check around the area to find the Guardians, and if you encounter them, beat 'em and grab th loot. Also, you're probably wondering where is the last treasure chest, go to the stairs on Tram Common, and glide to the shop that's near the gate to the underpass. On the shop's "roof", you'll find the last treasure chest, a nice Duel Gear+.

O.K. So, you get to Neverland and you're on fire! Smee is firing cannons at you! Keep running forward to the end and turn around and go Northeast. An Artful Flyer should appear. These heartless are bigger and more resilient versions of Air Battlers. They are slightly weak against fire and blizzard magic. O.K. after you defeat that Artful Flyer, from there, jump and glide Northwest to a big island, not the one you are on. Another Artful Flyer should appear slightly past the middle of the island. After it has been defeated. turn Northwest and you should see a Unity Badge grab it. Then, from there, fly Southeast to the very end of the island. You should see an Ordeal Badge. Go Northwest and there should be an island. Get on it and an the last Artful Flyer should appear. Take it out. Then, RTC.

Turquoise March-Shining Gem Avalanche-Frost Gem |
I personally absolutely HATE this mission. My bro deleted my file right after I defeated this thing. ****!!! O.K. That was a personal moment from me so let's get back to the subject. I would recommend stocking up with fire and fira panels before you leave before the mission. This boss will take at least 5 tries if you don't have the right materials(believe me, I know). Oh my gosh, look at that. It's a Ordeal Badge right in front of you! Grab that. If you would like to waste your time by getting a Frost Shard by jumping or gliding to your northwest, be my guest. After that return where you started and walk forward to the very end. Then, it's boss battle time!!!
O.K. so, this thing is about a centimeter away from being the same as the Wavecrest. There are Turquoise March enemies that will interfere with your battle and they will drive you bonkers. Don't worry about them as soon as the Wavecrest Avalanche, excuse me, is knocked out. The Avalanche will swoop down on the first strike straight at you in a spinning motion creating yellow stripes as it spins. The main part is casting level 3 and 4 fire spells at the head and tail. When it pulls back, get out of the way NOW. Start hitting it for 3 to 4 seconds then get out of the way NOW. Keep using this strategy and it will be defeated.
Next, Take out the Turquoise March enemies then RTC.
