Why couldn't they get a single of the original actors to come in for the few lines they had? Can anyone illuminate that?Oh,how the sea calls 03:06, August 6, 2010 (UTC)

They were probably busy. Wasn't At World's End being filmed at the time?LapisLazuliScarab03:11, August 6, 2010 (UTC)

Dead Man's Chest as well.

Did they go directly from Dead Man's chest to film AWE? what do you guys think about it in the future of the kh series?Oh,how the sea calls 03:22, August 6, 2010 (UTC)

1. My understanding is they were filmed back-to-back, like Back to the Future II & III.

2. That is a question for a forum.

They filmed them at the same time, to save money on sets or something. So all the sea sections from both movies were filmed at the same time, etc. KKDf51ce887-d120-4b89-8cff-afbff03976aa_zps7f114bcc.png

20px-Pin_000.png This was brought up a while ago on Talk:Daisukenojo Bito, but should this page get moved to William Turner, that being his full name?

I believe it was decided in a forum that we would use whatever was the most recent name to appear in the Journal…

Can you link that forum please?

Here is the forum in question. We never reached a final decision after I made my final comments.
Consensus at the end of that thread appears to be that we use full canon name, so William Turner it would be."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 00:52, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
This means Leon becomes Squall Leonhart, right? Chitalian8 01:46, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
I personally am against this but will not fight this decision. However, I do wish to request that we update things such as MoS accordingly. It doesn't look good for us as a community if we say one thing and do another. -  Eternal Nothingness XIII  03:17, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
Actually, the wiki already had a talk about changing Squall's name before, and everyone agreed that the page should be moved. That was a while back ago, too. *Sigh* Unfortunately, because the wiki community is so small and most of us are busy in RL (stupid college, in my case at the moment), we tend to forget conversations like these and fail to act on the decisions. :( If everyone's agreed, I'm moving the page. And Squall's, too, since no objections has ever been made.--NinjaSheik 22:07, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
I will continue to object to moving the pages to their non-KH names. However, for the sake of everyone's sanity, I'm choosing to keep my opinions and frustration to myself. -  Eternal Nothingness XIII  23:34, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
No one is suggesting moving pages to non-KH names, we're suggesting that we focus on the full in-canon name, omitting titles, because the journal is inconsistent. See Mickey Mouse for example."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 05:25, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

Discussion Post-MoveEdit

I don't want to be "that guy," but are we going to acknowledge the existence of Bootstrap Bill at all? If we are (he's indirectly mentioned in Kingdom Hearts II), then the page and/or opening paragraph should technically say "William 'Will' Turner, Jr." -  Eternal Nothingness XIII  23:38, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

I don't think he's ever been referred to as such in KH canon, whereas he is referred to as William in canon, just as Leon is known to be formerly called Squall Leonhart. Chitalian8 23:57, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
He's never even been referred to as such in Disney canon, at least as far as I can recall. My point for asking this was that it is technically incorrect not to include the "Jr." in his name. I honestly wish we could just go with what the Journals call everyone. -  Eternal Nothingness XIII  00:01, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
That is not accurate. The "Jr." (or III, etc.) is not automatically amended to your name. Speaking from experience here."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 05:23, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

I'm noticing we have yet to change the infobox (katakana, romaji, the stated name…). Are there plans to do this, or are we leaving things as they are? -  Eternal Nothingness XIII  09:35, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

Katakana and romaji will have to wait until we can prove that the Japanese game lists the full name. Are we okay with listing an English name in an infobox that's not mated to a Japanese name?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 12:13, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
Well, according to this, the credits list him simply as Will Turner. Starts at 11:44.--NinjaSheik 22:15, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
I know for a fact an English cutscene refers to him as William, perhaps the Japanese one does the same? Chitalian8 22:59, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
You mean when he introduces himself to Sora and the gang, right? In which case, I found it! Both in English and Japanese (thank you, CGInfernoBlast!) :D!
Japanese (Starts at 12:26): "僕はウィリアム・ターナー (Boku wa Uiriamu Tānā). ウィルって呼んでくれ (Uiru tte yonde kure). I'm William Turner. Call me Will.
English (At 12:00): "And I'm William Turner, but call me Will."
We got the katakana for William's name, so shall we place it in the infobox now? :)--NinjaSheik 17:18, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
I think we could go ahead and add it; as for the Jr. thing, I'd just say (if we don't already) that he's named after his father, as I believe the scene where Jack says so appears in the game (though I can't recall as well as I used to…). -  Eternal Nothingness XIII  18:43, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Okay, then. I'm adding it.--NinjaSheik 03:51, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
