Betwixt, also called Dense, is a material type introduced in Kingdom Hearts II. Betwixt materials contain the essence of constriction, the in-between, and ambiguity.

In Kingdom Hearts II, the moogle will reward Sora with a Serenity Gem once all Dense materials are obtained.

DesignEdit

Betwixt materials are colored dark grey. A Betwixt Shard is a blocky, crescent-shaped jewel. A Betwixt Stone consists of three jewels, one shaped like an uneven cube and two with an oblong, pointy shape. A Betwixt Gem consists of four jewels, a large facet cut jewel, with two smaller facet cut jewels at the sides, and a small, diamond-shaped jewel at the bottom. A Betwixt Crystal consists of a large star-shaped jewel, with a smaller facet cut jewel at the bottom, and a diamond-shaped jewel on either side.

"Dense" may refer to the material's opaqueness. "Betwixt" refers to the essence of the in-between the material contains.
