Character
A boy who used cards to guide Sora in the datascape version of Castle Oblivion.

While he bears an uncanny resemblance to another boy deeply connected to Sora, it is more than coat and hood that prevent Sora from seeing.

Was this boy just a phantom, a glitch? Or does this data tie into hurtful memories that sleep within Sora's heart?

Enemy
Sora's final and most formidable opponent in Castle Oblivion, a mysterious figure who attacked with not one Keyblade, but two.

Data-Roxas is the final boss of Kingdom Hearts coded, and reappears in a bugged form as an optional boss in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded.

StrategyEdit

Kingdom Hearts Re:codedEdit

Castle OblivionEdit

Data-Roxas uses the same Dual-wielding ground and aerial combos from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. He also uses his "Magic Hour" Limit Break, in which he uses the Final Limit version when his HP dwindles lower. He also maintains his ability Spot Beam from Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix which may inflict Clock Rewind status effect. His ground attacks have a chance of inflicting the Command Lock status effect and his aerial attacks have a chance of inflicting Flip-Foot status effect, so make sure to block or avoid his attacks when necessary. However, one may also make use of projectile-based commands as often as possible, but may still have to watch out for Data-Roxas's ranged attacks in order to avoid them on time.

Defeating Data-Roxas within five minutes grants Data-Sora the Oathkeeper.

System SectorEdit

A bugged Data-Roxas appears within Hollow Bastion's last System Sector, which is unlocked after beating the game. His abilities are the same as the normal Data-Roxas, but with a larger amount of HP and immense strength. When his HP dwindles lower and lower, he will get a stat boost, changing in the following manner: normal (indicated by a blue aura), then a speed boost (yellow aura) when his HP drops to 70%, then a strength boost and immunity to stagger (red aura) when his HP drops to 40%, and finally a size boost (green aura) when his HP drops to 10%. The green aura will also double his max HP, but he won't be able to make use of it since he cannot heal himself.

During this battle, the floor trial requires Sora to activate a Finish Command in 45 seconds. This is simple, but not easy to do since Bug Data-Roxas's Spot Beam can inflict Clock Rewind status effect. The player can avoid this either by equipping the Heat Sink Belt or a Keyblade with the Undo ability, like the Oathkeeper, or by attacking Data-Roxas using carefully-timed powerful projectile commands while also avoiding his ranged attacks. It is also possible to bring and use a Megalixir to instantly gain access to the Finish Command. When the trial is done, focus on his attacks and follow the Data-Roxas strategy, and this floor of the System Area will be done in no time.

Technique Element Status Power Block?
Lunge (突き
Tsuki
?)
  0.75 x2
Thrusts while moving forwards, then slashes the opponent away.
Often follows with Continuous Cut. When HP falls below 50%, emits three pillars of light from Spot Beam in front of Data-Roxas.
Continuous Cut (連続斬り
Renzokukiri
?)
  0.75 x4
Alternately swings both weapons while moving forward.
Often follows with X Cut Rush or Aerial Launch.
X Cut Rush (X斬り突進
X Kiri Tosshin
?)
  Command Lock (Low) 1.47
After readying himself, rushes forward at high speed, and slash in an X-shape with both weapons.
Aerial Launch (空中打ち上げ
Kūchū Uchiage
?)
Upswing   0.75 x2

Sweep   Flip-foot (Low) 1.47
Swings both weapons up. If the opponent is hit, launches them into the air and sweeps them away.
Spot Beam (スポットビーム
Supotto Bīmu
?)
Clock Rewind (Medium) 1.13 per hit X
While moving forward, emits pillars of light in four directions. The pillars travel in a straight line, but will gently track the opponent when they are nearby.
Magic Hour (マジックアワー
Majikku Awā
?)
Defense Cut (Low) 1.28 per hit [2.58 per hit] X
Moves to the center of the arena, floats in the air, and rains down 15 beams of light. When used two times in a row, the beams of light are thicker the second time. Data-Roxas is invincible for the duration of the attack.
Used when HP drop to 50% and 35%; used twice in a row when HP drops to 10%.
Power in [] is for bugged enemies; Block: △ = Can be blocked; O = Can be blocked and interrupted (melee) or deflected back (projectile); X = Cannot be blocked.
