Birth by Sleep Cutscenes and Area

WingBlade - Whatever it takes. Anything to save Terra and Aqua.

Terra said "You may be my master. But I will not let you hurt my friend!" in Radiant Garden, but he said this in LoD in the final game. Also in Radiant Garden, Crystal Fissure was set to be an area but was remove! In Dwarf Woodlands, you can fight Unversed outside of the dwarves' house! And in Ventus's case, the castle in Castle of Dreams was a playable area! We should put this on. And didn't we use to have screenshots of these?

There's a comparison video, actually. It's in Kryten's removed page, we just need someone to put it in the article :/

But Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep characters have different stories. Terra, Aqua, and Ven too visit different worlds throughout their journey. {{SUBST:User:Dbdbzdbgtwoo/sig2}} 16:18, November 26, 2010 (UTC)

...and that has relevance how? maggosh 22:46, November 26, 2010 (UTC)
yes, but the cut scene locations from the trailer and the final release of the game is different, if that's what you mean. What mattered most   was remembered least

Move?

Just a suggestion, should we rename the article to a more appropriate name? like "Removed contents in the Kingdom Hearts series". I think they were "removed" rather than "deleted". also, note that I added an "s" in the "content" and What mattered most   was remembered least

what about the "deleted" part? I added Young MX's render and maggosh said that "it wasn't deleted" (I'm not blaming you here or anything, maggosh) but none of these are actually deleted, they're just removed from the final game, right? What mattered most   was remembered least
What he meant was, it actually appears in the final game, in the first cutscene. You just don't see it from the front. Nothing about the model or its presentation was altered, as far as we know.
There really isn't a great term for it, I think. I guess "removed" might be closest, but it's up to you guys.(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 03:00, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

I would have to think. I don't understand that Daisy one, but the spinning wheel and the DTD make sense... I wonder is Aqua would have originally encountered the DTD in BBS. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 13:38, December 27, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, to my knowledge, they are. I'm guessing Daisy is there because she originally was supposed to appear in Disney Town. maggosh 00:43, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

Heartless

In KH2 is been removed the Blue Wyvern and the Dark Behemoth (the name isn't official), and I listen in KH1 is been removed a giant Soldier, the fan in Italy call him "Soldato Maggiore", but this name isn't official.

P.S. sorry for my bad english--PRISON KEEPER 19:41, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

The Final Mix-colored Wyvern and Behemoth that appear in that cutscene in trailers still appear in that cutscene in KHIIFM, although they apparently don't appear in all versions of KHII regular. If you can find documentation that they were originally meant to be in the actual battle, that would make them count as removed.

Can you explain the giant Soldier bit some more? Are you sure it isn't the Stealth Soldier?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:42, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

The Giant Soldier I listen he was in the first KH in Traverse Town, but I don't certly this voice is real, and I sure in KH2 the Dark Behemoth and the Blue Wyvern, initaly they was fightable Heartless, but probabily was removed because is Heartless more powerful. In the first trailers of KH2 they appear, but in the final game not, in the Final Mix, probablios is an error, because the remakes is created recicled the old cutescenes, the programmers probabily used a first cutescenes with the Blue Wyverns and Dark Behemoths for an error--PRISON KEEPER 13:05, December 27, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, I also do recall TNE having showed someone a picture of a giant Heartless some time ago... and it could have been said soldier. It was either that in the original KH, or a giant shadow in CoM. And I believe that PK is refering to the extra Heartless in the battle of a thousand. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 13:35, December 27, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, there Heartless.--PRISON KEEPER 14:10, December 27, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know if this helps, but I recall the Heartless being MUCH larger (Like, a normal Shadow nearly as tall as Sora, and a soldier taller than Sora) in the Beta trailers for the original KH. Is that what you are thinking about? [[1]] This is the vid for proof. About 1:18 is a good place to see height comparisons.   Superdog1123

The thousand heartless battle cutscene heartless - they were not removed from that cutscene in KHIIFM. If you have proof they were playable, that's different.69.95.111.242 00:24, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think the size difference counts as removed content, seeing as it was just slightly altered. Other things in that video seemed removed, though, like Riku at Big Ben and Sora seeing Riku after fighting the Darkside.  RoxasNobody   00:28, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

The Giant Soldier, I believe, is this one;

File:Prototype large soldier.jpg

Thanks. So, TNE did upload it... anyway, isn't it possible that, for preview and cinematic effect, the Heartless was being smacked toward the viewer, and that is why it appeared extremely large (although it still appears in the first district, which shouldn't have Heartless anyway). KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 04:05, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

You can definitely see a Soldier smaller than Goofy behind it, so it looks very much like it is just a Soldier face-hugging Sora, who is in first-person view."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:18, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

The cutescenes of the Final Mixes is reciclated of the other game, probably the Square have two version of the cutescene of the battle.
1-Battle with the Sorveillance Robot, Armored Knight, Blue WYvern and Dark Behemoth (the name isn't official) 2-Battle with the Sorveillance Robot and Armored Knight probaly the programmers have reciclated for error the first cutescenes with the removed Heartless, otherwise because make a cutescenes with Heartless in the game not exist? simply this is an error, that is all. Assault Rider in KH1 and Shadow Sora in KHC is ben removed right?--PRISON KEEPER 10:22, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

Look this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibfS8UhFfW0 (at 3.22)--PRISON KEEPER 07:02, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think we can consider the Behemoth & Wyvern "removed". They were used in the cutscene for the Battle of the 1000 Heartless. That may be the only purpose for their models in the game, but it's still a purpose. Edit: Just realized an Anon said this above. Oh well. <_< Soxxeh 7:07am, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

I think they is removed, and the cutescenes with them in FM2 is only and error for the motiv I tell before, but the Assault Rider is been removed in KH1 and Shadow Sora in KHC right?--PRISON KEEPER 11:35, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

Can you provide a source about A.R. being removed from the first game? maggosh 14:40, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

People keep adding and removing the fact that Sora was the one who was originally supposed to be saved, and it's also on the main page's "Did You Know?" template. I have never heard of anything like this outside of this wiki, and no one ever provides a source. So is this true? And if it is, where does it come from?

Helmetless Armored Terra

Is it notable that, through the use of cheats, Helmetless Armored Terra is in a completely playable state, even though he only appears for about 10 seconds in no more than two cutscenes, completely unplayable? I have pictures of him, if people would like me to upload them. --Orohu 19:19, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Are you just taking the skin from the scene and applying it over him?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:26, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
I think so, but it would have to have its own 3D model, since Terra's head is significantly different from the helmet, right? Also, it's grouped in with the other playable models, such as the Clothed, Armored, and Keyblade Ride models. --71.67.134.135 20:31, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Neverland in Coded

Why is Neverland listed as removed content from Coded, when it do appear in the game? Here's a video proving that the scene with Riku and Kairi at the Clock Tower in Neverland do appear in the original Coded too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj45hccb5-Y&feature=player_embedded The video can't be from Re:Coded because, the video was uploaded on May 15th 2010, before we even knew anything about Re:Coded. - JTD 06:34, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

Here is another video from KH Coded showing the cutscene appearing in-game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDc_NRN1r8g The cutscene starts at 1:23. - JTD 06:34, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

A reminder

Remember I linked to the KH1 beta trailer from the homepage talk ? Well, it featured, among others :
  • Kairi with a shorter skirt
  • Sora accessing the keyhole of Destiny Islands
  • Riku atop the Neverland clock tower

and several other removed scenes.

Now quite a bit of the concept (e.g. the Awakening) was included in the final release of KH1, but a lot of what was found in the beta was removed.

More discrepancies with the E3 trailer for KHII

If I remember correctly, the hall with the fireplace in Beast's Castle as well as the entrance to the Cave of the Dead in the Olympus Coliseum are inaccurate — the prototype has Dusks in the area, but in the final release, only Heartless appear in the area.

"censorship"

Realized that having a conversation in the edit description is a terrible way to go about things, so I'm leaving this here. Calling Aqua's clothing change "censorship" is extremely misleading because censorship in most cases only refers to a higher body. In this context that would refer to an executive at Square Enix, a government, Sony, or something like that. "Censorship" in colloquial use, referring to "covering" literally anything, is not usually used when talking about decisions related to the publication of a work. Especially the sentence "due to censorship" makes absolutely 0 sense, because it seems to refer to censorship as a "force" rather than citing the events surrounding the change. To my knowledge, Nomura made the decision to cover up Aqua's clothing entirely on his own, for whatever reason. If this is not the case, then the details regarding what led to the change should be put in to clarify the situation, otherwise putting the word "censorship" there is very confusing and leads people to believe that somebody other than Nomura made the decision. -A —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.168.190.229 (talkcontribs)

I've revised the passage to use the term "self-censorhip", which is what it's called when an author modifies a part of their work out of concern for society's sensibilities."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 01:01, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

Woody and Buzz

According to a recent interview with Nomura Woody and Buzz were never really properly planned to appear in the game:

"——Toy Story finally arrived in Kingdom Hearts 3, but elements related to the film of Pixar were already founded in both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II code. Can you tell us why they weren’t inserted in those games, in the end?

Nomura: I always wanted Toy Story in Kingdom Hearts, and I already hoped to insert a world based on it in the first chapter. For this reason, I asked our staff to create something related to Toy Story, in case we were able to get the OK from the Disney. Sadly no possibility were given to us and so the idea never entered in the development stage."

- JTD95 (talk) 03:17, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
But in a more recent interview, he talked about how it's false that they were only intended to show to disney as proof of concept, not for the sake of adding to the game."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 12:16, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Is it worth noting that the latest update changed the skybox for the Keyblade Graveyard and removed the dark balls falling from Kingdom Hearts? - JTD95 (talk) 19:12, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

Does this happen in the regular game too? I thought it was specifically changed for ReMind. In my opinion that's a drastic change, it should be covered here. --ShardofTruth 19:22, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
It's the result of the 1.09 update. The change went live a full day before Re Mind was out in New Zealand. --Samoa Joe (talk) 20:22, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

Game Studio

It's a minor detail, but although the main page says proposals for KH1 were brought to Buena Vista, according to Wikipedia they were Disney Interactive from 1994-2002, and it says Disney Interactive on the game itself. However, Wikipedia also says, "Buena Vista Games is probably best known for the Kingdom Hearts series along with Japanese developer Square Enix." under the 2003-2007 section. Does anyone know which one is right? --  mikoto 07:32, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

Terminology

I've been looking at the file name for files in the article and come to the realized there is no real cohesive or consistent naming scheme for them and those that are named don't make sense in correlation to each other. The naming for files are as follow; Unused, Removed, and Demo.

Like, why is "File: Disney Castle Trailer KH.png" not noted on what kind of naming it is, but "File:Kingdom Hearts coded cutscene (Removed) 02 KHC.png", despite both them appearing in early trailer/screenshots is.

I think the wiki needs to reclassify/reorganized/define all the different uses of the naming term based on how its used in video game development, so as follow;

  • Demo - Stuff really only apply to the KH3D Demo content and there really not much to change for them.

Thats about it, thanks for coming to my tedtalk. UnknownCheisā —— Marika is Best Girl (◕‿◕✿) 16:15, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
