When using Hurricane Blast, Sora's Keyblade leaves bursts of light in its wake.

Hurricane Blast (ハリケーンピリオド Harikēn Piriodo?, lit. "Hurricane Period"), known as "Hurricane Period" in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, is an ability that appears in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. It allows Sora to spin-slash with the Keyblade 1080 degrees vertically in rapid moonsaults.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Hurricane Blast is a combat ability that provides Sora with an air combo finisher. It costs 2 AP to equip. It is meant as an strong ability that can help damage enemies on a vertical alignment of Sora during an air combo, due to his default air combo finisher flying over them quite often. Sora will also drop down to the ground at some point during his moonsaulting period.

In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Hurricane Period is an action ability that provides Sora with an aerial finishing move. The ability now has light effects and Sora now stays in the air during this attack and flies forward a bit.
