Welcome to my talk page!
Message me here at any time, and I will try to get back to you ASAP. We do have some rules here:
ABSOLUTELY NO swearing, vandalizing, inappropriateness, or attacks on me or anyone else on the wiki (occasional jabs at politicians are encouraged!)
Feel free to message me about practically anything, but try to keep it Wiki- or Kingdom Hearts-related
Please, if you're starting a new conversation that is not directly related to the most recent conversation on this page, start a new section. This can easily be done by clicking the "+" button at the top of the page next to the "edit" button.
Please try to use talk bubbles, if possible. If not possible, at least sign the post, please!
Do not remove content from this page, even if you're the one who posted it. Just post to tell me to ignore it, and we'll be fine. It's actually against Wiki policy (apparently) to remove/alter other's userpages.
So should i make the template for KHWiki? Byzantinefire (talk) 00:24, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
I asked Porplemontage about it, and it doesn't appear that such a thing is possible without creating a MediaWiki page or installing an extension, which I'm not sure I'm allowed to do. At least, that's what I think he meant. You could ask him, but from my understanding and investigation, it's not possible on here. KeybladeSpyMaster 00:35, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
Well you don't know if you don't try. Byzantinefire (talk) 00:37, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
I did try to copy the codes that the DisneyWiki uses, but it doesn't seem to work. Go ahead and try, if you want. KeybladeSpyMaster 00:39, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
I'm not sure if you've noticed or not...
But your response on the "Template Talk" (Magazine forum) got cut off from your "<nowiki><youtube>blahblah</youtube></nowiki>" tags. I'm not entirely sure why it doesn't work but I thought I'd let you know. TheFifteenthMember 01:29, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks, it was the stupid pipes I used as I was explaining something. So yeah. Thanks again! KeybladeSpyMaster 01:37, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
Retired OP Page
Hey there. Were you at the last Roundtable meeting? If so, was anything decided about creating a retired OP page? I would check the logs myself, but for whatever reason my computer will not allow it. I'm sorry for the bother. Xion4ever 04:52, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I was there at the Roundtable this month. We decided to create a retired staff page, but the staff featured would only be staff "post-KHWiki" split. That was it, we didn't really go into too much details on that, like who or how it would be created. I almost made it myself several times. KeybladeSpyMaster 15:53, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
So it is safe to say all that was decided was that the page needed to be created, right? Okie dokie. I'll start a discussion on the talk page here in a moment. Thanks, Keyblade! ^_^ Xion4ever 18:52, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
Template:Chapter list
So, as from my recent edit to the Kingdom Hearts Volume 1 page, the tabbed chapter list for Tokyopop and Yen Press is complete. My question to you is: can we remove the parenthesis under the volume number sections? Now that the tables are separated, there is no need for the parenthesis anymore. Thanks! Xion4ever 02:48, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
Finished! However, I do have to question, now that we have the tables separate, is there a point in having separate parameters for the volumes? Shouldn't we just make them all one parameter now? KeybladeSpyMaster 04:40, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
I've reviewed the April Roundtable in which all this was decided. Turns out, and this is my fault, I've done the volume articles and list of KH chapters pages the wrong way. The chapter summaries go on volume pages, while the list of KH chapters page should just chapter titles. That's not a hard thing to fix, just cut/paste the templates around. The List of KH chapters page should look very close to this: click. The individual volume pages should look like this: click. I'm going to first switch the templates around. Does this answer your question? Xion4ever 19:18, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
EDIT: If we do what I've stated above, that would make the List of Kingdom Hearts chapters page irrelevant/no longer needed....We couldn't determine the use for it back then, and I'm still not sure of it now. I'm up for marking it for deletion, but won't delete it outright. Kryten might have had a plan for it. I'd hate to delete all his work on it. EDIT x3: Just now realized I contradicted myself. >_< I got confused on what to do for the central hub page (KH (manga)). If we make KH (manga) look like Wikipedia's "List of NCIS episodes," we won't need List of KH chapters. However, if we keep List of KH chapters, the volume pages would either have duplicate information (keep the same info), or would be a shorter article (leave the information on the List of KH chapters/KH (manga) pages)).Xion4ever 19:29, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
Title Image
TheFifteenthMemberIgnoring how these caterpillars uttered what they're trying to say, I do agree.— TheFifteenthMember 16:35, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
Just a friendly tip: for your title image, it'd be good if the "Cycle" part of the title was in orange so that the text colour always contrasts with the background.

Sorry
I am sorry I could not get an entry done in time for the magazine. I tried letting people know before I left I would be in Florida with no internet access during the deadline. I left this message using my phone, so yeah. Again I apologize. I hope I can contribute to the next issue. In the mean time I will try to crank out my best work yet in preparation. I should not be on vacation when the next issue is due for release. - EternalNothingnessXIII 01:52, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
Featured User
A hearty congrats and celebratory confetti/fanfare to ye! You are July's featured user! (Okay, I know we're still on June 30th due to our time zones, but the Wiki timezone of UTC says it is July 1st >_<') You have done an immense amount of work and we cannot thank you enough. Thank you for your willingness to help take on some big projects and, in general, to be a team player. Keep up the good work! ^_^

Oh, man, thanks so much. For everything. You've truly become a great friend and guide on this wiki for me, and I sure as heck would not be here with all I've done were it not for editors like you. The summary is just awesome, and don't worry about the image, I'll make it myself. The awkward part (for me) was going to be making the summary, I really didn't think it right to do that myself, but I love what you wrote. Thanks again!
TheFifteenthMember I hope it's slow and painful; the elation I get from such kills is unmatched by anything, yeeeess... Just thinking about it makes me... oohhh...— TheFifteenthMember 17:31, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

So when can i expect work be done on the next issue? Byzantinefire (talk) 21:45, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
Of the magazine? I don't know. It's whenever we get over the hype of the first issue. Why the urgency, we just published, the next issue is due three months from now. KeybladeSpyMaster 22:32, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
Well i want to get involved make some interviews find some fan art to use that sort of thing and the best time for such a thing is to start early. Byzantinefire (talk) 22:39, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
Well, if you read the Magazine page, you'd find that to get involved, you have to go the Journalist Spot to sign-up and discuss work/drafts. Again, though, we might not do much about it for another month. KeybladeSpyMaster 22:44, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

Wow, evidently I need to check the wiki more often. As you can maybe tell from the cobwebs all over my talk page by the delay in this response, it's been awhile since I've been active, to say the least. I do apologize for the tardiness of this reply.
Anywho, I am definitely content with the User Medal that already exists. To be honest, the Featured User section was pretty defunct when I received the award a couple years ago, so I never really expected to get a medal. Knowing that you guys remembered and bothered to make one after all of this time is really cool. So thanks for that :).
But yeah, don't bother making me a new one - while the new design is excellent, I'm not active enough to warrant the amount of effort. I do appreciate you taking me into consideration, however. It's clear that you do some excellent work around here, and I'm very glad to see that the wiki is in good hands still. Hope you're having a great summer, and thanks again.

I can't believe you actually saw that. I posted that, like, a year ago or more and no one noticed. Anyways, I'm not sure if we should. There seems to be a general feeling against userboxes at this time. The HD images are already on the wiki (I made the userboxes before the images were uploaded, so at the time, I linked images from KHInsider). The deal would just be making the userboxes. But people say we shouldn't if only two of us will use them

NOTE: Sorry if my English is bad. Not my homeland language.
Your wiki is so great! If you need something, you'll never left without attention! It's seem like I can not only grab some info, but also upload my works!
Okay, let's get down to the business. I'm working on a project. It's called "Kingdom Hearts Ultimate Collection" and contains every Kingdom Hearts game playable on PC. I wanted to make a port of HD remixes, but there's already some. So I decided to make something bigger.
Practically, this collection is just a couple of emulators with including ROMs/ISOs, but I want it to run automatically like a PC game, without setting anything (that's the problem!). Interface is not a big deal, I'm good at Game Maker.
Since I already got everything I needed, here's a list of everything containing in my collection:
Kingdom Hearts games (10 in 1)
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (PSP)
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix (PSP)
Kingdom Hearts (PS2)
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (PS2)
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories (GameBoy advance)
Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories (PS2)
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (Nintendo DS)
Kingdom Hearts II (PS2)
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix (PS2)
Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded (Nintendo DS)
Bonus Square Enix + Disney games:
The World Ends With You (Nintendo DS)
Final Fantasy IV (Nintendo DS)
Epic Mickey (Wii)
Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two (Wii)
Extra Content:
Kingdom Hearts Soundtrack
Siro Amano's Works
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days HD Cutscene Movie
Kingdom Heart 3D: Dream Drop Distance Cutscene Movie
Kingdom Hearts Chronicles (from KH3D)
I know this will take huge amounts of memory, but it is worth it! If you have any opinion or advice, tell me! I'll try to solve my problem until then.
I like the idea of making them, but do you plan to put more work into them, because 1.5 seems a lot, incomplete. I can possibly help you with it. — 21:01, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
KeybladeSpyMaster - I do it for my family, my home, my friends! I do it for her! TALK - Welcome to Spy Force One. - 02:33 PM Mon, September 22, 2014 MST
Yeah, I do plan on working on them so more. Right now, they're direct copies of the Kingdom Hearts II navigation template, and so they're identical, albeit the color scheme, the soundtrack, and the categories at the end. Other than that, they're identical to each other and the KHII template. If you want to help, go ahead. What I don't want to do is simply add all the information from all three nav bars for each game.
Of course, the three games share lot's of similarities. Such as KH1, and Re:Chain of Memories. Both share most of the worlds, which wouldn't be a lot to add to the template. It's basically a mix of three games, but almost one game in total.
EDIT: Done. Does the 2.5 need any changes? — 21:56, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

Question
Eternal Nothingness XIII - You have to be strong. Strength of heart will carry you through the hardest of trials. TALK - What I do, I do for friendship. — 07:48, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
Hello, KSM (if I may call you that)! I can't help but notice that you seem to have a knack for coding (something I lack), and I was wondering if you could give me some assistance with my talk bubble template. Every once in a while, I like to change my "character theme" on the Wiki (in the past, I've used Roxas and Axel), but what I'm considering for my next one (if it's possible) is rather complex and demands coding beyond what i know how to use:
As you know, I am "Eternal NothingnessXIII." This was a user name I selected back when I was obsessed with Organization XIII, but when Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep was released, I came to love Terra as a character, hence my present Terra theme. Now, I'm looking at my Terra theme and thinking that it's not exactly applicable with my user name anymore (having my character theme and user name match is a weird thing I need, I guess, since I like consistency). Rather than change my username all together, I was thinking of going back to my Organization XIII character theme, but in a more complex way than I ever have used it before...
One of our Wiki's former staff members, KrytenKoro, had a talk template that seemed to change randomly via the "option/choose" coding when it was in use. Kryten's template page only shows one template (and some examples of it in use), yet when he would use it on a page, the the image and corresponding quote was always different. Therefore:
Is it possible to have something similar, but with multiple images/quotes representing the same emotion? Example: For the emotion "Happy," have coding just for that one emotion, but within it, the ability to use multiple talk bubbles when I use the coding for my happy bubble (In other words, is there a way to format my talk bubbles so that typing {{EO|happy=<insert text here>}} would yield a talk bubble featuring happy Xemnas on one use, but then it would randomly alternate between the bubbles for other happy Organization members for other uses (basically, next time I use {{EO|happy=<insert text here>}}, it would appear when saved as happy Larxene, then happy Demyx, then happy Roxas, etc.).
Branching off of this, is it possible to use coding of this nature in a talk bubble template that would necessitate various emotions (a switching template for "Normal" Organization members, a switching template for "Happy Organization members, a template for "Shocked," etc.)?
I apologize if that made no sense. Basically, what I envision for this character theme is the ability to use every member of the Organization in one talk bubble template, without the need for zillions of individual talk bubbles (one collective template for "Happy" instead of 14 individual talk bubbles for "Happy"). Let's see if I can Illustrate what I mean another way:
Normal Emotion
Normal Xemnas
Normal Xigbar
Normal Xaldin
Normal Vexen, etc.
Happy Emotion
Happy Xemnas
Happy Xigbar
Happy Xaldin
Happy Vexen, etc.
I understand if this is impossible or beyond what you know how to do. Thank you for taking the time to read this message! I hope to hear from you soon.

Of course I'll help! I've already started, and created it for normal and happy (which can be seen in action here), but I realized there's a minor issue with the available emotions, seeing as for some characters, like Zexion, there's only Happy, Normal, and Talk emotion sprites. Other than that, it looks like it's working. The sig line should also change with the emotion selected, but it'll have to be some generic line or one that you don't mind not using the choose/option tags, since it's hard to force, for example, Xemnas's line to appear when Xemnas's picture does, seeing as the choose/option tags are, literally, completely random. I'll keep going with other emotions I can find, in the meantime.

For a mere test, those look great! I assume that the reason why you posted multiple talk bubbles was just to see if the coding would work? If what I'm envisioning is too difficult or is impossible to begin with, I suppose I can just create the necessary talk bubbles for every emotion of every member of Organization XIII; I really would like it if Xemnas's happy quote appeared with his happy image, to use your example. Not to mention the fact that I would want each Organization member's talk bubble to be his or her signature color (pink for Marluxia, yellow for Larxene, etc.), amongst other details. I'm gonna post some model talk bubbles to show you what I mean in my Sandbox; if there's a way to switch between individual talk bubbles through option/choose from within the standard template for a particular emotion (under the "Happy Category," have one talk bubble for each Organization member that has a happy expression, for example), then we can work that out later. Worst comes to worst, I just have a really long talk bubble template and have to manually select which Organization member I feel like messaging someone as...not ideal, but ok if necessary. Thank you so much for your effort and assistance!
In other news, congrats on getting the Wiki's second magazine issue out! I looked through it and am really impressed with how hard you and the others involved have been working! I know that we've now had two issues go by without a single piece of fanfiction from my game concepts, but that is because my interest in Kingdom Hearts that came back over the summer and then went away as time went by is just starting to return again thanks to the release of KHIIHD in Japan. Since my second return, I have managed to crank out a full story concept for Kingdom Hearts: The Keyblade War, the canon version of Kingdom Hearts X that I have in the works that connects to my game about Eraqus and Xehanort's youth. Aside from that, I've been suffering from a severe case of writer's/creator's block. But feel free to read the story I have planned for The Keyblade War if you want to see if it's magazine material as it is for now (I kinda would like to work on my three game concepts in an order that is, story-wise, chronological); it's in my Sandbox.
Again, thanks a lot, KSM! Hope to hear back from you soon, my friend!

Well, I've started work on the talk bubbles again, and now the code is, as you had said at first, most complex. However, I think it will work. I'm going to stop for today, because I noticed that you are making the separate bubbles yourself, and it'll be easier to just wait 'till you finish that so that I can just copy and paste each bubble into the choose/option/switching mess I've created...XD...not to mention, I've got a family thing I've got to attend to right now. But I'll finish it tomorrow, now that I know what I'm doing. As for your fanfiction concepts, I think they're coming along quite well. I actually saw your concept for Kingdom Hearts: The Keyblade War some years back, and thought it was the real deal...Anyways, something I was going to point out that you removed is that you had planned to have the apprentices meet the Princesses of Light, which, in canon, would be false, because the Princesses of Light were created as a result of the shattering of the χ-blade. It's only because you're aiming for a canon story. Other than that, it looks like it's coming along just great! I can't wait to see the finished product!

Yeah, I decided to make the separate bubbles as a model, and in hopes of making your work a little easier. I'm sorry this is so complex! I feel bad for dreaming so big...
You really thought my long-ago concept for The Keyblade War was the real deal? That's a huge compliment to me, so thank you! I really like the new form the story of the revived project has taken. Thanks for pointing out that bit about the Princesses of Heart; the reason why I intended to include them was because Kingdom Hearts X has so many of their worlds in it, so I figured I'd give them some story relevance. The problem was, thus my decision to re-evaluate which worlds would be appearing (the original plan was to use the same ones from Kingdom Hearts X), there was literally nothing I could have done with the Princesses' stories that would make sense given the time period in which this game would be taking place. Since Birth by Sleep is the game in which the Princesses' stories happen (what transpires in their films of origin), that didn't really leave me with a lot of ideas in terms of which characters would be encountered and what would happen to them. Any world ideas to replace those planned ones? My concept for Kingdom Hearts: Into Oblivion (the Mickey and Riku game) has all of its worlds and characters selected; I was thinking for the Eraqus and Xehanort games, I would also use new worlds, so I'm considering including Brother Bear and 101 Dalmatians. Other than that, I'm not sure what to do...Let's focus on Kingdom Hearts: The Keyblade War for now, I guess, since the story has a beginning, middle, and end. I'm working on a concept for Gilgamesh from Final Fantasy as a secret boss, and while I have a few rough ideas for gameplay and the other necessary aspects of a "game," I feel like this needs to be fleshed out more. I really don't know if I have any other ideas, though, so perhaps now would be a good time to discuss that idea we had where we'd publish something, then have a pole or option to contact me where readers could offer their opinions/suggestions?

Well, your talk bubble template is finished! I just need to replace the individual talk bubbles with whichever ones you make in your sandbox. I've already replaced the ones that are there now, so I just need the rest you plan to use.
Yes, I really thought The Keyblade War was an actual game. I was so excited for playing through the world of The Emperor's New Groove. I think for worlds, they should be completely new ones. That way, there aren't any issues with time travel and whatever else Joshua just had to throw out in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. I can't really help with Final Fantasy, because I've never really played the series. I think we should do what we'd planned and allow readers to offer ideas in the magazine's talk page.
Eternal Nothingness XIII - You have to be strong. Strength of heart will carry you through the hardest of trials. TALK - What I do, I do for friendship. — 03:09, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
Alright, thanks! I should have models for all the talk bubbles completed soon. It sure is hard choosing quotes for the Organization members...
I'm trying to think of worlds that haven't been used yet and would be good for Kingdom Hearts... The Emperor's New Groove is being used in Kingdom Hearts: Into Oblivion, but what about the worlds that belonged to the games' various summons? Dumbo, Bambi, Chicken Little...Some of those may wind up going into the Eraqus and Xehanort "game," though. I really don't like it when a KH game is made of nothing but worlds we've already seen before, as was the case in 358/2 Days and Re:coded, and I really don't like the story of KH3D... I haven't played that many Final Fantasy games, either, but I've learned enough through research to know who's who outside of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XIII, the only games I was able to get into in that franchise.
So how do you think we should go about this? Feature a plot summary to "tease" the "game" in the magazine's next issue? Or maybe just a vague teaser instead, a subtle one? I'm trying to think about what it's like when Square reveals a new KH game...I'd like to handle this in a similar fashion. Then, once the teasers/trailers and such are done, we can go more in-depth and actually see the story play out/describe the gameplay. When we reach that stage, I'm thinking, we could feature the polls and such where users/readers decide what could happen next. Rather than have them be a regular thing, however, I think the polls should only be used if I'm suffering from writer's block. We could use them for something other than deciding what happens next otherwise, if you have any ideas...
KeybladeSpyMaster - I do it for my family, my home, my friends! I do it for her! TALK - Welcome to Spy Force One. - 06:50 PM Sun, October 12, 2014 MST
So, I'm having some issues with the code, namely because I feel there needs to be a way to adjust so that previous uses of the talk bubble work. The problem is that, although I'm using the same and regular #if: statements that are usually used, and the choose/option tags to switch the design, the words don't appear. It always says {{{text}}}. I don't know why. So, there's one of two solutions: we add the Organization-themed talk bubbles to the existing template, and the previous uses of it stay the same, Terra-themed. Or, we add a default talk bubble, and create some default talk bubble design that we can use on the old ones. Either way, I can't find a way to make the previous uses of the talk bubble use the new version, because when I try it, it acts weird, as you can see in the tests. Or, we could go back through all your past posts and add the emotion tag. Which I think is a waste of time, and would take forever.
As for your fanfic, I think the summons' worlds are fine. I don't mind reusing worlds, as long as the story is fresh and new. So, for example, the way they re-use Agrabah, or Olympus Coliseum from Kingdom Hearts to Kingdom Hearts II. But I'm not a fan of loosely repeating stories, like in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories or Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. As for other worlds, consider using less known movies, or any recent movies as part of the worlds. I think we should feature a plot summary or some sort of tease opener like they seem to plan to do in Kingdom Hearts III. I like the idea of teasing, but since the magazine releases every three months, we can't really go more than two or three issues teasing before we have to start and try putting an actual story. Otherwise, people will wonder if the story will ever come, like we did for eight years with Kingdom Hearts III. I think we should do what you said and have polls only when you have problems writing what's next. But I think we should still ask for ideas or suggestions to the story in the comments, if only to provide with a plethora of ideas available.

Rather update the Wiki so that my past Terra-themed posts match the new theme, we can create a new talk template all together, Template:ENX, instead of my current Template:EO. This way, the Terra posts won't vanish and I can proceed with the updates to my theme. That said, all of the model talk bubbles are done. I know not every character has every emotion; I think you understand what I'm looking for, but basically for each emotion, there'd be an option for a different Organization member's talk bubble to appear whenever I use the template for that emotion. For instance, if I type {{EO|time=~~~~~|angry=<insert text here>}}, then any Organization member who has an "Angry" talk bubble in my sandbox would have a chance to appear with the corresponding quotes and talk bubbles upon saving the page via the choose/option tags. I really can't thank you enough for trying to help me with this!
Yeah, I guess I don't mind when worlds are reused with a continued/updated/fresh story, but I'm personally just tired of exploring the same places over and over again. One can only visit Olympus Coliseum so many times before one runs out of places to explore and it starts to get boring. Right now, I'm considering the following worlds:
A Bambi world.
A Dumbo world.
A Robin Hood world.
A The Sword in the Stone world.
I feel like those worlds would be more suitable in the upcoming Eraqus/Xehanort story, which still leaves the Keyblade War story's worlds undecided. I was going to use the same worlds as Kingdom Hearts X since the point of the "game" is to be a canon version of its story (though perhaps its a sequel since I'm reading now that KHXLEADS UP to the Keyblade War?), but I don't have any story ideas for those that would make sense or could happen at the given time period. I'd like to think that Pixar worlds are off-limits until Kingdom Hearts III comes out, since it is likely Square will use them to show off the PS4's graphics. The only other movie I can really think of as working in Kingdom Hearts is 2000's Dinosaur, but because I only write and publish what I can picture in my head and I feel like such a world would require form changes, that is something I cannot visualize so easily, thus I'm hesitant about using it. Until worlds are decided upon, nothing can really happen with Kingdom Hearts: The Keyblade War. I suppose, using that logic, we could just start with Kingdom Hearts: Into Oblivion, but again, my wish was to release the stories in chronological order. I also do not have any ideas whatsoever as to the finale of that game, in terms of both story and final bosses.
I'm still struggling to figure out how I'll share my gameplay and story concepts for a particular "game," so any ideas on that are appreciated. I could do separate articles in-between sections of the story, or we could release Famitsu-style magazine articles, like the ads at the back of a book. Something I would also like to do is do Kingdom Hearts Ultimanias for my fan-games; not necessarily artwork, since I can't draw Nomura-style to save my life, but interviews about the development of the concepts, answers regarding questions about the story, etc. These could be released in the magazine when a fan-game is finished in the magazine.
The other big question I have in the case of these fan-games is "How would we decorate/illustrate" their section in the magazine? There are tons of pieces on DeviantArt I've been using to illustrate the worlds in my stories and the original characters from Kingdom Hearts: The Keyblade War, but if we were to publish these in a magazine, we would need artist permission, which I don't think we would be very successful at getting, especially when there may no longer be a way to contact said artist...I'd really like to use the names and designs I've discovered while browsing the internet looking for inspiration, but I don't want to steal or do anything wrong...Only certain worlds, world logos, and weapons are inspired from pieces I saw on DeviantArt (again, I'd love to use these in the magazine for illustration purposes and nothing more), but the characters in The Keyblade War utilize designs, in my head at least, that I saw on a forum in KHInsider.com for its own KH game concept (which, as far as I know, has been abandoned). I assume we're going to say no to using the artworks I've found, and instead let readers use their imaginations, but I feel this would make my works appear rather bland on the page...

Could you help me out?
Since you're pretty good with templates, I was wondering if you could help me out. I'm having some trouble with this template used for Card: Articles. As seen on this page, there are two empty cells at the bottom-left, next to Support Value. These cells normally contain either Home World or HP, but this card has neither. So, I wanted it to show Home World and leave the cell beneath that blank, like other cards have, but that doesn't seem to work. The Home World only shows up when I add something to the cell beneath it. For example, a "-" would let it show up, but automatically adds the category "- cards", as you can see here. Is there something you can do to fix it? I would really appreciate it. TheSilentHero 17:15, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
Ok, figured it out. So, for the code to work and show the Home World to appear, the code uses not a regular hyphen, but a special character hyphen. Here's the difference: this is the regular hyphen from keyboards: - , and here's the one used on that Cloud page, and in the template's code: – . The difference is how long it is, which I didn't think mattered, but it apparently does. To get the second hyphen, the one that works, you go in the edit page down to the wiki markup codes box, further down the page from the "Save Page" button. In the section that says "Insert:", you select the first hyphen, the shorter one. It adds it to the text automatically when you click it. However, that's how the Cloud page works. I've fixed the template so that it does the same for regular hyphens, too, so that should work now, too. KeybladeSpyMaster 17:31, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

That's fine, I use Photoshop, too. I don't think you necessarily need to register unless you need help/support from Adobe. Anyways, the way I do it is to use the "Magic Wand Tool" and click on the white space. That creates a selection of the entire white space, so long as there are no interruptions (other colors, etc.). Then, you use the "Eraser" tool to erase the enclosed white space. You can do it as many times as needed to erase the entire white background. KeybladeSpyMaster 20:13, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
I use the express editor. Does that have the magic wand? — RikutheBloody 21:33, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
I don't know, I don't use Photoshop Express. Is it an app on your phone, or for Windows 8? I can only try it and find out if your using the Windows 8 version. KeybladeSpyMaster 21:53, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
It's here, and I use windows 7. I use this version, until I can find other ones. — RikutheBloody 22:00, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
You won't be able to use that. It only accepts and saves in .jpg, a file format that doesn't support transparency. Sorry. KeybladeSpyMaster 22:07, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
It's fine. Which one do you suggest I use, your majesty? — RikutheBloody 22:11, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
It'd be easier to download and install GIMP, which is free. I don't know if there's a Magic Wand equivalent on GIMP (it's been a couple years since I last used it), but it's basically a free Photoshop, so I'm sure there is one. The other more obvious choice is Photoshop, which costs a ton (unless you go Chaser's way and find it for free online, which you probably could). Whichever floats your boat. According to their GIMP docs, GIMP's equivalent of the Photoshop Magic Tool is called Fuzzy Selection/Magic Wand Tool, and it looks the same, should you choose to download and install GIMP. Eternal Nothingness XIII - Ven, Aqua... I'll find some way to make things right. TALK - This light... it's so warm. — 03:47, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
Could you please tell me why we are still using these? I was not able to attend the Roundtable because I was busy with personal things. Square Enix does not release "official action renders" as the Roundtable page says...what do we even DEFINE as an "official action render?" I am going to re-post my reasoning against the continued use of fan-posed renders on boss articles from a chat I had with MasterRikuTheBloody. I don't know why this is still bothering me. I'd like some peace of mind...
The fan-posed images serve no real purpose, other than to show a now inactive user's ability to animate the games' renders.
The fan-posed images are inferior to the official renders in terms of quality; they just look really weird to me on the page in comparison to the official renders. I don't care how "plain" they look to those who defend the fan-posed images.
Favoring our users' material over what is provided to us by Square Enix makes us seem a bit full of ourselves. It contradicts what we stand for as an official Kingdom Hearts Wiki, and not a fansite; the fan-posed images would be more appropriate on the Keyhole, I think.
If the fan-posed images are ok just because they are "action-y" and "cooler," we may as well replace the main image on Ventus's boss page with this. My point is, this Wiki has basically just green-lighted the use of fan-art on our articles over OFFICIAL MATERIAL, which violates our image policy.
As I mentioned above, Square Enix does not release images akin to what the Wiki seems to want based on the favored usage of the fan-posed images. If we're waiting for official "action renders," we aren't getting them. So the Roundtable is basically saying "We're gonna use the fan images because we can." It has nothing to do with Square Enix and what the company has or has not released.
The official images are only being used in galleries. That's not okay because this Wiki promotes OFFICIAL material.
The only reason for using the fan-posed images I've ever gotten in the past is basically "I don't care about our policy. We're using these images because I say so." That's not good enough to me. HOW AND WHY ARE THESE BLOODY IMAGES BETTER THAN THE OFFICIAL ONES? Compare this terrible image and this. Do you honestly mean to tell me the fan-posed images are of higher quality than the official ones? The fan image I posted here isn't even "action-y," so this Wiki's criteria for image use on the boss pages is voided in this example.
The purpose of an image is to clearly illustrate the article's subject matter. Readers don't care how "flashy" the image is. If you compare the two images of Xemnas's armored form we have on this Wiki (one of which is "action-y" and the other is also fan-posed, but because we never got an official render of Xemnas's armored form from Square Enix; this is when we make an exception to our "no fan-posed images" policy), one is just there on the article because it shows off his sword and someone thought that looked "cool." It doesn't really add anything to the article itself other than what Xemnas's sword looks like (when it is swung). And for that, we have a separate image of the sword itself. The image that just shows the armored Xemnas clearly illustrates what we're trying to show: ARMORED XEMNAS. NOT armored Xemnas swinging his sword.
I was also told by a user who preferred the fan-posed images that the only reason we use them on the boss pages is because they are boss pages. And yet, they are still in our mainspace. Thus the boss pages are just as official as non-boss articles, where we DO NOT POST FAN-POSED IMAGES! If we are going to allow the use of fan-images in our official-material-only mainspace, then the boss articles should NOT be in our mainspace.
People only seem to want the fan-posed images because they look "cooler" and often feature the characters holding their weapons. Yet I would argue that if we only choose to use one fan-image over an official one because the fan-image incorporates the weapon and the official does not, then what we truly want to illustrate is the character's WEAPON, not the CHARACTER, who the boss page is supposed to be about. If people want to see the weapons, then we should direct them to the weapon's article, where they can look at images of it as many times as they want.
If I am to use the Wiki's apparent logic, how is this any less "cool" or "action-y" than this? Both images are not of the character just standing there. Both show the character in question wielding his weapon. Am I really supposed to accept that just because one image is upside-down that it's better and trumps the official counterpart?
I am sick and tired of this battle. I am not trying to complain, anger, or upset anyone. I just want some clarity. I thought I would contact an admin I get along with relatively well to discuss this matter, rather than post it in a forum, where others would jump down my throat for no reason because they misinterpret my opinion, which does not get a fair chance at being heard because I always seem to miss the Roundtables. I apologize for the tone of this message, KSM. I am not targeting you in any way; again, I would just like some clarity from an admin who seems to be willing to give me a chance to speak his mind. Thank you.

ENX, I wholeheartedly agree with you. First of all, though, you'll find that the community today is most open to at least hearing out things. In fact, we almost agreed to take these renders down at first. We didn't truly understand why/how these images came to be. We came to the conclusion (those who discussed) that the renders were taken directly from the game, I guess posed just like in the game, and that since they weren't Photoshopped or anything of that nature, it was fine. However, if they're only fan-posed and not posed to be like the game, then these images need to be removed. There aren't many, if this is any indicator. I'll see what I can do. If we had known this during the Roundtable, though, I'm sure the outcome would have been different.
Hi, sorry to interrupt, but do either of you mind waiting to delete the images so I can copy and paste them to a document? Personally I like them and I'd only need two days. Once they're gone, they're gone. 97.81.38.40 14:42, 6 December 2014 (UTC) Rex Ronald Rilander
ENX: Did you read the logs for the roundtable? The justifications can be found there. Essentially, we aren't classing the action renders as "fanart" since they have still been taken from the game. That's the reason why it was decided to allow them to remain. If you have any rebuttals to the points raised in the roundtable, do voice them so we can debate it. Thanks! I don't mean to sound dumb, but there are logs for the Roundtable? Where can I find those? They'e probably been right under my nose and I've just never noticed...As for the justification you just stated, I think that just means they should be permitted to stay on the Wiki, not to be used on the boss pages. My reasoning for that still stands; all of my points are above on that. - EternalNothingnessXIII 21:06, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
No, we can't just keep them on the wiki without they serving a purpose. That's the point of a "No Fanart" policy. We're not a file-hosting site. Either we use them on the Game:Pages or serve another purpose on the wiki, or they go. We can't decide they're not official enough to use them and still leave them here. If we won't use them, they need to be moved off-wiki. Rex: Ultimately, whether they're moved off-wiki or not, they'll still be seen at least in Dark-Enigma's Museum of Renders (which I linked earlier). So, I'm not going to hold back on removing them just for that. Especially since they'll still be linked, they just won't be hosted here, probably on Photobucket. Not to mention, a quick Google search of each image shows they're hosted all over the place on the web. Ultimately, if we decide that we won't use them anymore, we will remove them and, in the case of Dark-EnigmaXIII's Museum of Renders, I'll re-link them via Photobucket or another file service. Perhaps they'll get moved to our sister wiki, the Keyhole. Either way, they won't stay here if we decide not to use them. KeybladeSpyMaster 21:24, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
The images just look really ugly to me in comparison to the official images, if you ask me, when you get right down to it. They look weird. "They're from the game" does NOT make them better than "They're from Square Enix" to me. I read the Roundtable logs, and my opinion still stands, using all the points I listed above as back-up. - EternalNothingnessXIII 21:30, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
OK then KSM, that works for me. 97.81.38.40 21:57, 6 December 2014 (UTC) Rex Ronald Rilander
What are the "official images" you keep mentioning? You mean the renders we have for the infoboxes on the main pages? TheFifteenthMember 00:07, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
Any image released by Square Enix, obviously, that is used by the company in any of their products - guidebooks, websites, et cetera. KSM and I have discussed the fan-posed renders further; we're working on reaching an agreement where the fan-posed images are a LAST-RESORT ONLY! - EternalNothingnessXIII 00:16, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
I do question the Xigbar renders. Where did we get the first one from and where did we get the second one from? I thought we already made that clear in the roundtable; the less official renders are suitable when there's nothing from SE, no? TheFifteenthMember 00:19, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
