In September's roundtable, we couldn't come to a conclusion whether we wanted the staff election or not. Instead, we decided to open a petition to help us judge. If it receives many votes, we'll interpret the positive reaction as a "yes" to having a staff election. If the result is underwhelming, the election will not go on. To clarify, this petition will only decide whether we want an election or not in the first place. It's not deciding who will be the new staff members. If an election happens, it'll be the current staff ultimately deciding that.

To sum up: if you are in favour of a staff election, add your signature below.

EDIT: We're implementing a new system. Now, you can vote for or against so everyone should get involved and voice their opinion.

I think the former, as it gives opportunity to voice why not. We'll also be able to tell the difference between not wanting an election, and general site inactivity.
