Talk:Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX
NAME CONFUSION
|
- It's 1.5. The 1 just looks like an "I" to emphasize that it's an HD remake of the first Kingdom Hearts. Official website information, and press information all refer to it as "1.5", not "I.5". --Tektek (talk) 04:03, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Name Change
Just gotta say this, but the article's title is wrong. It should be the way it's written (and pronounced!): "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX". --68.230.252.5 03:52, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- Do this thing."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:23, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- The official website and all press coverage refer to it as Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX, not Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. The logo looks the way it does to appear balanced. --Knehcs (talk) 09:06, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- You're probably right, I've shouldn't have moved the page so fast, but is it with the hyphens/dashs or without? --ShardofTruth (talk) 09:47, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Can we get some links? The official page doesn't just have "HD 1.5" in the logo; scroll down the page... --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 13:17, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Ok, people, seriously now. The title needs to be changed back. --Tektek (talk) 21:37, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
|
The official site displays "1.5 HD ReMIX" twice. maggosh 22:53, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- The title of that same page is "KINGDOM HEARTS -1.5 HD ReMIX- | SQUARE ENIX". On the other hand, the kana on the page says "キングダム ハーツ HD1.5リミックス", and the Message from the Kingdom says "KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5 ReMIX-" and "キングダム ハーツ エイチディ ワンポイントファイブ リミックス".
- So we may have to call it a wash until additional sources become available. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 23:34, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
One last little thing
- 3 I have absolutely no idea how to implement these on the pages, but here's a top icon. --Tektek (talk) 04:27, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Stop changing the freaking logo people =_=
Until an official transparent logo is out in the wild, stick with the one I uploaded. It's higher resolution than the one from the official website. Not to mention, it has a white background - compared to the site's that has a black. It causes a huge contrast with the ALL THE OTHER PAGES, and just generally looks like crap. Don't be difficult and senselessly stubborn. Just because it's from the official website doesn't make it the go-to-image, especially when there's a considerably better alternative. --Tektek (talk) 05:06, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- Official trumps fanart. maggosh 13:43, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- ...What. The. Shit. It's not fanart, you twat! It's the official logo from Famitsu! What is wrong with you? --Tektek (talk) 15:57, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- I think it's the official logo taken from the JP site, just the brightness of the Disney and SquareEnix lettering were reversed so they can be seen against the white background. --ShardofTruth (talk) 14:18, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- Nothing's been reversed in this logo. NOTHING. It's the exact same palette as the one from the site. It just LOOKS that way because the background is white with this one - the logo looks darker, while the other looks lighter. Kingdom Hearts has never had a black/dark grey logo before, so it's a slightly jarring difference to the eyes. --Tektek (talk) 16:12, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- Oh wow. Lol. Maggosh, you gorram hypocrite. ttp://www.khwiki.net/images/2/2c/Kingdom_Hearts_II_Final_Mix_Logo_KHIIFM.png I am not a moron - it's painfully easy to see that this logo is a photoshop, seeing as how pristine the logo itself is while the "Final Mix" is blurry because it has been up-ressed. Now, see, THAT, is "fanart." Yet you seem perfectly fine with that being up there. So, once again, unless Kryten says there is something truly evil and abominable about the one I uploaded, LEAVE IT ALOOOONE! --Tektek (talk) 16:07, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- Three things: Don't insult other users, this will most likely get you a warning. You're old image is still there, please don't reupload another one and stick to the name convention next time and don't post comments all over a conversation, this is confusing. --ShardofTruth (talk) 16:29, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- Apologies for the first. As to the second, no it wasn't - looks like Maggosh deleted it. When I tried going directly to the link, it just forwarded me to the image upload page. --Tektek (talk) 16:55, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

I would really appreciate it, Tektek, if you stop being to rude the users. Just explain things calmly and politely. And like ShardofTruth said, do not insult the users, otherwise you will be receiving a warning for verbal attacks on a user.--NinjaSheik 21:52, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Things
- Logo and Title: As with Days and Dream Drop Distance, we use the title spelled out in the logo unless Nomura or an Ultimania specifies a different write-out. Days especially is the example here: the title is not necessarily read as its written. The logo does not need to be modified until it's been cleaned (as it has been now)."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 03:30, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
Trailer
PLEASE ADD THIS:
New details
Hey everyone. I know its been a while, since I haven't got a 3DS, which means I wasn't able to play KH3D myself and add a mountain of details like I usually did LOL. Anyway, I noticed the page has been protected because of an edit war, but I also saw that some new details regarding the collection have been revealed, such as:
- New voice acting for KHFM.
- Replacing the original KH models with those from KH3D.
- Modifying the KHFM controls to make them more like KH2.
- Modifying some dialogue to keep consistency.
- Remaking almost ALL of Days into a theatre mode. Not just the twenty-odd cutscenes from the DS game, but the scenes with dialogue boxes as well with brand new voice acting.
- The possibility of this being followed up with a HD remake of KH2 (or even KH2FM), since Nomura said in Famitsu that not doing one after this would be unusual.
Just bringing this to everyone's attention. Hope someone puts it up if I can't. EnglishJoker (talk) 16:04, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- "Replacing the original KH models with those from KH3D." Can you clarify that? I don't fully understand what that entails, or which models you're talking about. Chitalian8 16:15, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- As technology progressed with each instalment of the series, so did the quality of the characters' features. See, we've had KH1 Sora appear in KH, Re:CoM, coded and KH3D, and in each game, he looked more detailed, so in order to maintain consistency, Nomura's going to use the latest models for Sora, Riku and Ansem, which are from KH3D, in the HD KHFM. The interview's up on kh13.com, if you're still confused. EnglishJoker (talk) 16:29, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- Excuse me, but is someone going to unprotect the page so someone can add what I just jotted down??? EnglishJoker (talk) 18:17, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
- I'll unprotect it for you.--NinjaSheik 18:19, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm on it right now. EnglishJoker (talk) 18:22, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
- I'll unprotect it for you.--NinjaSheik 18:19, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Is there any source for the modified dialogue or changed script (other than in 358/2 Days)? Nomura said nothing about this in the Dengeki interview. ShardofTruth 11:14, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
Outside Japan?
So.... Should i take a Japanese crash course, or does the rest of the world get their hands on this treasure localized? I'd mention how bad it would be not to release this in US and EU considering the mixes have been japan-only, but nobody would notice it.--92.118.175.99 08:56, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Though there's been no official annoucement that this compilation will be released outside Japan, but if this is true, too bad it may be named Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMASTERED than being HD 1.5 ReMIX because the Final Mix version of KH1 was not released outside Japan. BugBlox1989 (talk) 00:56, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- That's a random guess. Besides, if they did decide to release it outside of Japan, it's not like they're going to go to the trouble of swapping out KHFM for the non-FM version. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 03:04, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

Deep Jungle
As we all already know Deep Jungle was in the Original KH1, but since it was included out of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories because of copyright reasons does that means that Deep Jungle won't be includes in Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix? --74.98.199.176 00:06, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
The Remix will include KH1, so it will include Deep Jungle SubZeroFlames00:13, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Final Name-Change
If you guys go to the new updated official website, you'll see that the name is (and always was) "HD 1.5 ReMIX" and NOT "I.5 HD ReMIX". So, this page needs to be renamed properly. --68.230.252.5 08:27, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- We aren't the only people who use this form of the name, additionally that version of the name is already present on the page. Erry 09:00, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- After a quick look through the official page I can't say I notice the 1.5 HD ReMIX variation of the name being used there as you claim. If the official pages uses HD 1.5 ReMIX, then we should too. - Joseph Thorn Dalton XCV 09:29, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- I never said it was used on the official site... and we already use it. Did you just ignore anything I said after the first part of what I said? Erry 10:10, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thought you meant the current name was present on the official page. I didn't ignore it, I'm just slow at understanding what other people are saying. - Joseph Thorn Dalton XCV 11:16, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Sigh. http://www.square-enix.co.jp/kingdom/khhd/
1-When you look at the Page Source, it's properly named as such. 2-When you look at the bottom tab (next to the coming soon tabs), it's named as such. 3-When you click on any of the game information tabs, you'll be taken to that page. Within that page, the header will name it as such. 4-When you look at the news column below the tabs, it's named as such. 5-When you look at the website name on your browser window, it's named as such.
Really. Honest to god, what more "proof" do you need? Now, fix it please, or I will have to fix it upon which some fool with a BS reason will revert it and it will escalate into an edit war, and you guys yet again will make fools of yourselves within the Kingdom Hearts community for specializing in falsified information. Don't be difficult. Only idiots prefer their spin on things over facts when running a factual-based wiki. --68.230.252.5 18:16, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- Wow, you need to chill. And for the last time, the opinion of the "Kingdom Hearts community" does not have any influence on any decision we make, in any direction, under any circumstance.
- Having said that, I agree that we should seriously consider setting it back to "HD 1.5 ReMIX". The new page content seems to have eliminated the "1.5 HD" that was there before, and we should probably take the word of the official site over that blog post. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 18:28, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- I've seen static between you guys and other sites to know that's a flat-out lie. :P In any case, what's there to consider? One is the official name, one isn't. Not a whole lot of consideration.--68.230.252.5 18:52, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- You are entitled to your opinion.
- There is, as you say, not a whole lot of consideration. But since there were official sources that used "1.5 HD", and there still is at least one (namely, the Message From the Kingdom post), there is SOME consideration. What do the magazines call it? Were there later MFTK posts that used "HD 1.5"? I'm not being rhetorical, I actually have not been following the news. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 19:00, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- For fuck's sake.
- Anon: Your constantly bringing up this "feud" between us and the wider "community" is a time-wasting pain in the ass. I've talked to fans on the street, I've talked in person to other KH fansite owners. Suffice it to say, this whole "feud" exists in the imaginations of some narcissistic fans on forums, and as far as I've seen on this wiki, it's pretty much all coming from you. If you want to get information corrected, just provide the source and make your argument from an evidence-basis. A (totally-unsubstantiated) "argument from majority" like you keep attempting is completely without merit.
- Everyone else: The official site now says "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX" pretty much everywhere, including the logo which is what we base the article titles on, so can we just move the page and be done with the arguing."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:27, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- You tell me to provide evidence...then turn right around in the same post and essentially back up the very evidence I provided some time ago. What. --68.230.252.5 22:21, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- That's not his point. He knows you have a source, and he's acknowledging that we need to make the move. His point is, stop being so confrontational. If you just said what you did in the beginning of this section and had presented your source while skipping the condescension and insults, there would be no issues here.
- Now, if no one minds, we're just gonna move on. I'll move the page myself. Good grief. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 01:20, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
- Eh. I'm confrontational only because it's motivational. I've seen what happens to nice guys on here. --68.230.252.5 04:01, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- In my experience, you've gotten more people to want to do the opposite of what you want out of spite by being needlessly antagonistic. If you want to say "something is wrong, here's my proof" we respond well to do that. Every time you've brought in "I hate you guys, I'm claiming the community hates you too", you've gotten spite. Spite begets spite."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:31, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- XD Go away. I'll bother you guys again when it's necessary.--68.230.252.5 06:24, 28 December 2012 (UTC)

hi! i came here to cover what i said at the 2.5 page, but then i see that the big fuss was over at wikipedia's article, and... this is the complete opposite fuss. huh. i know this has already been settled forever ago, but i feel the need to make the final statement with 2.5 making things even clearer.
but yes, it is correct to say that "I.5" is a stylization and that it's not what people should be using due to square enix specifically using "1.5" in print everywhere; the katakana aid is irrelevant aside from being the katakana aid. blah blah dumb marketing blah blah inconsistent with everything blah blah. 75.177.119.25 21:53, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
Jump Festa Video
I have the YouTube video for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX from Jump Festa 2013. It's from www.kh13.com, like the Tokyo trailer that is already on the page. I'm going to link it like the Tokyo trailer, if anyone objects, please tell me. Unless I'm not supposed to.KeybladeSpyMaster (talk) 03:16, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
Artwork/Box Art
Erm, can't add images. But here: [1] Place where it needs to be.199.217.117.144 04:10, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
Cover Art?
Though I am not an avid Game of Thrones watcher, I did seem to notice a connection between the throne within the show and Sora's seat on the cover art (with the many blades sticking out of the back). Is this intentional and therefore worth mentioning, do you believe, or am I merely seeing some sort of connection where there is none? KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 07:35, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
- No, it's a reference to an older promotional artwork. maggosh 18:26, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
- So the blades are simply to show the growth of the series? KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 19:13, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
- I kind of see this as a reference. The first artwork did not have those blades, and, well, this is a video game series, so the cover designers might have been having a lark."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:41, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Secret Data?
I was searching around and apparently there is hidden data in the Japanese version of 1.5 of Sherwood Forest from Disney's Robin Hood. Can someone look into that? TobiasHawk (talk) 16:49, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
- How about you show us where you found this, instead of sending us off on a wild goose chase. Also, sign your posts. maggosh 17:38, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- Were you able to decrypt the files? This data (what is is exactly?) could be part of the original KH as well as there was never a fully functional way to unpack the whole game. I hightly doubt that anything of this significance was added in the HD Remix, according to the various interviews there simply wasn't enough manpower. ShardofTruth 18:04, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

2.5 Confirmation?
Nomura in a recent interview from Japan Expo in France said that they are developing another HD collection that is second priority under Kingdom Hearts 3. There was no title but isn't that enough to merit at least some sort of mention somewhere? Erry 18:49, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
- I believe so. Not to mention the title has been mention outright before. maggosh 19:50, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thing I don't get is at times he said 2.5 is being worked on and will be released first and at other times he says KH3 is prioritized and will be released ASAP. Does this mean 2.5 will come out before or after KH3? TheFifteenthMember 20:42, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- I feel like I've said this before or have been part of a conversation of this kind but since Shinji Hashimoto, who I believe is a producer within the Kingdom Hearts series, has said to expect a few years wait between XV and KH3. This makes me think, if 2.5 HD is gonna take any time like 1.5 HD, its possible we might be waiting a year or a year and a half. Which, to answer your question based off these things and my theories, it would most likely come out before KH3. Not only that, but it would be a BAD marketing move to release it after KH3. Erry 20:53, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- All right then. I wonder if they're planning on doing anything with KH3D before KH3 comes out. Anyway, should we mention 2.5 on this page or Kingdom Hearts (series) page? TheFifteenthMember 20:59, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- Since we don't have a legitimate title for it, even though common sense would say "2.5 HD ReMIX", we should just mention that "Tetsuya Nomura in an interview with X has mentioned that work on a second HD remaster collection has begun." with a citation at the end to the interview. Behind the ReMIX
|
Wait, you really have a point there. "Re" is from Re:CoM, while "MIX" is from Kingdom Hearts FINAL MIX. So, maybe (just maybe, only if anything more ellaborated can be written and if it is really necessary and confirmed to be true) that should be put on Trivia, saying that "the "ReMIX" from the games's title is written like that to reference the playable game's inside the collection, "Kingdom Hearts Final Mix" and "Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories". Don't know if that name applies to 358/2 Days theater. - MateusinhoEX 00:25, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

Music from the game
I know that the article says 66 tracks were re-done, but is it possible there are 67? The theme "Xemnus" appears in the game, but is it remastered or not? Hallowseve97 (talk) 22:10, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- We have a page about Xemnus and it only has the original version on it, so I don't think it's remastered. TheSilentHero 22:15, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
Voices?
To be honest, I was a little surprised that they managed to voice all of those exclusive cutscenes in Japanese, since in the original Final Mix they were voiced in English only. Also via the second Final Mix game, where do you think they got the recordings from? (Such as Toshiyuki Morikawa's lines as Sephiroth, a boss added in the US version, and Sora's dialogue during his encounter with Xemnas) --SneaselSawashiro (talk) 20:28, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
