Thunder Roll

Thunder Roll (サンダーロール, Sandā Rōru) is a technique in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. Thunder Roll is much like Dodge Roll, but allows the user to also inflict Thunder-based damage to their enemies on contact. Unlike Dodge Roll, however, the user does not gain temporary invulnerability to attacks.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Thunder Roll is a Movement command that has a maximum level of 4 and fills the Command Gauge by 12% each time it hits an enemy. When the command is leveled up, the distance traveled and damage dealt both increase.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

Thunder Roll is a Movement Command that can be melded through three different recipes, listed in the Action Recipe.

• The first recipe can only be melded by Ventus, and is a type L recipe that has a 20% chance of transforming into Spark Raid when Ventus melds it.
  • Stun Block (LV3) + Dodge Roll (LV4)
• The second recipe can only be melded by Ventus, and is a type L recipe that has a 20% chance of transforming into Spark Raid when Ventus melds it.
  • Thundaga (LV4) + Dodge Roll (LV4)
• The Third recipe can only be melded by Ventus, and is a type P recipe that has a 20% chance of transforming into Spark Raid when Ventus melds it.
  • Thunder Surge (LV4) + Dodge Roll (LV4)
