Talk:Monstro
I
I have a problem. I have gone through the worlds and beat Agrabah, I then went back to the Travlers town and went and got Bambi. I then went back to Agrabah and went both ways to the LV area. And no Monstro. I have flown both ways a few times and he will not appear. I don't know if I have forgotten to do something or what the whale's problem is. If you can give me some suggestions please!!70.115.252.55 16:22, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Heartless Infection?
Did the heartless happen to get into Monstro because he was so huge, or is it possable that there are tiny heartless infecting ordinary things? Coroxn The Lunar Brigade
Heartless are know to appear wherever there's darkness...so why not in a whale? Sweekun 23:29, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

Monstro enemies
Between the before and after, nearly all Heartless appear in Monstro. However, I need help verifying a few:
- Soldier Large Body, Air Soldier - these definitely appear as part of the Agrabah set, but do they always appear?
- Shadow, Yellow Opera, Green Requiem, Search Ghost - these appear in the first visit, but do they reappear after mixing? If so, what sets?
- Battleship - I can't seem to find this in the Neverland set. Can anyone confirm?
- Is there a Halloween Town set (Wight Knight, Gargoyle)?
- Is there a Hollow Bastion set (Wizard, Defender, Wyvern)?
Glorious CHAOS! 19:08, May 22, 2010 (UTC)
- First one - yes.
- Second one - I've seen Red Nocturnes and Blue Rhapsodies in certain chambers in KH1 and KHFM, even before the second visit. As for Search Ghosts, I believe they're always there. I'm not sure what sets though, I'll have to check the game again.
- Battleship in Neverland - yes, but only on the ship deck.
- Wight Knights, Shadows and Gargoyles always appear in Halloween Town.
- Initially, yes, there is a HB set, but during the second visit, they are mixed.

- To clarify - I am talking about the Monstro Heartless-mix-sets, as mentioned in the main article. I've confirmed that he has Agrabah and Neverland sets, and one of the gamefaq writers has confirmed Deep Jungle. I can't find Battleships during the Neverland set, though, and I haven't seen a Halloween Town set yet.Glorious CHAOS! 05:53, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

Monstro Boss and World Trivia
Why can't the trivia "Monstro is the only world to also be a boss" be on the page? What's so wrong about it? It's been confirmed that he is a boss so what's the problem? - JTD95 08:52, October 16, 2010 (UTC)
Trivia with Music
The non-combat music for Monstro sounds similar to the song "Kefka" from Final Fantasy VI. Should that be added?--TheXMJohnson 01:32, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

Disney
¿Is it based on any Disney movie?

He's from the movie Pinnochio. --TheXMJohnson 20:35, February 26, 2011 (UTC)
Showing up in 3D
This is one of the scans from Famitsu found in KH13, notice that the floor resembles the inside of Monstro from, well, every game that it has appeared until now, do you think that it means that it is showing up again? --Xabryn22:22, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
- Probably, yeah. But until we see the outside of it, we shouldn't say that Monstro's in KH3D. Chitalian8 22:26, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
Split?
Should this be split into two articles, one for character and one for the world? -Burgundy 18:55, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
- Sure, but only the gameplay aspects...let's say "Game:Monstro (world)". The story is still united and should be kept together."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:38, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
Cleo
In the character section there is Cleo but if he is to stay there then someone should mention him earlier in the article as there is nothing about him in the story section. TheFifteenthMember 14:46, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
- There's nothing really to say, other than that he appears. I'm not sure how to address that...he doesn't deserve his own article, so do we want to have a list of cameo characters?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:45, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
I guess you only need to mention him once like this - 'Sora finds Gepetto and his fish Cleo...' or something. Its just odd him randomly being there without anyone saying anything about him before, I understand why the cats there because there is a brief description about it but cleo is just odd. TheFifteenthMember 16:26, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
And another thought is we leave it for now and perhaps there'll be more about him in Dream Drop Distance and maybe he'll be able to have a character article if there is enough. TheFifteenthMember 16:28, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Trivia
Souldn't we have Triva about Monstro being the only world that moves around? Mew661 (talk) 16:56, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
In a technical sense, Monstro isn't really a world, so I wouldn't really know.--NinjaSheik 17:40, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
- There is no need to cover that as trivia. As a rule of thumb, the answer to "should we have trivia X?" is a resounding "No.""We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:53, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
KH3D Story Draft
Side: Sora
After learning that Geppetto has been swallowed by Monstro and that Jiminy and Pinocchio has jumped of a cliff into the ocean to follow, Sora quickly follows as well to rescue them. Once he's gone underwater he soon finds Jiminy and Pinocchio, swimming away from Monstro. However, the force of the water pulls him into the chaos, and Pinocchio and Jiminy are then swallowed by Monstro. Sora gives chase, but a Dream Eater appears and freezes Monstro in an iceberg which floats to the top of the ocean. Sora follows and fights the Chill Clawbster Dream Eater on the clusters of the frozen Monstro. During the battle, Sora frees Monstro, encasing him in a bubble. Chill Clawbster is then defeated and attempts to flee only to get swallowed by Monstro. Sora falls into the ocean is blown away when Monstro sneezes at him. Sora wakes up on a beach, assuming that Prankster's Paradise was destroyed not long after Monstro swallowed everyone, and also recalls how they soon escaped and ended up in Traverse Town. The Keyhole appears and Sora seals it.
Side: Riku
Riku finds himself inside Monstro and spots Geppetto who's looking for Pinocchio. He goes to talk to Geppetto and offers his help. Jiminy poops out and informs Riku that Pinocchio wandered of with a man in a black coat. Together, Riku and Jiminy goes to look for the boy. They eventually catches up with Pinocchio and the unknown in the black coat. Pinocchio apologizes to Jiminy for just vanishing like that in which Jiminy replies that by being aware of his own mistakes his starting to learn what it takes to be a real boy. The Unknown removes his hood to reveal himself to be Riku and disappears into corridor of darkness. Jiminy questions want in the world he just witness as Riku explains that he gave into the darkness once and it has come back to haunt him several times ever since. Pinocchio and Jiminy proceeds to ask if he's got any friends which he can rely on when times get tough. He smiles and says that he's got one in particular which he could never do without. They then hear a massive roar shaking the inner areas of Monstro. Riku goes to further investigate and orders Jiminy and Pinocchio to head back to Geppetto.
He finds the Char Clawbster Dream Eater and destroys it. Afterwards Riku watches as Pinocchio and Geppetto is happily reunited. He ponders on the fact to why this world was trapped in a past version of itself and remembers Yen Sid's words of wisdom. That just because the world was freed of darkness it still has yet to awaken from it. The Keyhole then reveals itself and Riku unlocks it.

Story Section
What should be done for the story section? I agree that 'settings and areas' should be moved to Prankster's Paradise (as has been done), but seeing as Monstro is both a world and a character he should have a story section for his appearance in DDD. How I see it is that we should mention his short appearance in Sora's story (and perhaps quickly mention that Riku visits him), but to leave it at that and avoid going into too much detail of what Riku experiences on the inside. Thoughts? - Joseph Thorn Dalton XCV (talk) 23:27, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hm, maybe we could put {{main|Prankster's Paradise}} under the DDD story header? It would avoid covering the same thing twice, while also not skipping out on details. Or, maybe do put an abridged version on the Monstro page, but still have the main page notice to direct towards the full version. —Aid1043 01:50, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- I think we should cover the story related to Monstro the character here, and put a main link for the world story. TheSilentHero 11:44, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- Should there also be an Other Appearances for his BBS appearance, or is it enough to have it be mentioned at the start of the article? Also, how should the character journals be added to the page? As far as I'm concerned those can't be added to a world template but only character templates. - Joseph Thorn Dalton XCV (talk) 21:23, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
