Textures

Do you if someone has ripped blinking and other facial animation textures from KHBBS and KHBBSFM? I can't find them wherever I look. ChrisShade (talk) 07:37, 9 February 2018 (UTC)

They can can be unpacked though, what do you need exactly? I could upload them. --ShardofTruth 17:55, 10 February 2018 (UTC)
I need Ventus, Terra, Aqua & Vanitas. Thanks. ChrisShade (talk) 03:08, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
I put everything I found in here, look out for filenames containing "ex" since these are often reserved for original characters. Can you open dds files? If not I can convert them to png but that will take one more day since I don't have the means to do that right now. --ShardofTruth 14:38, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
I'm fine with DDS files, though some of these textures look WAY too big. Did you take them from BBSHD? Because I was actually looking for the ones from the original PSP version. Also, do you know where I can find get all 3 textures for Sora's Crown? ChrisShade (talk) 18:26, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
You can find the crown textures here: bronze, silver, gold. I'm trying to get the psp textures. --ShardofTruth 16:38, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
Any luck with the PSP textures? ChrisShade (talk) 13:56, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
No, I even checked different releases. The psp versions uses a different kind of image file for the special effects and it's still not understood how the animation in this game works so I think you're out of luck. If you reduce the resolution of the HD files, couldn't that work out? --ShardofTruth 08:23, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
Speaking of PSP versions, do you have a PMO of Mysterious Figure from BBSFM? ChrisShade (talk) 04:51, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
Yes, but it's the normal Unknown model without weapons or anything, since they are only effects. --ShardofTruth 16:52, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
In the textures you sent me, I found some facial animation textures for KH1 Riku in there. Does this mean there was a KH1 Riku PMO in BBSFM? ChrisShade (talk) 15:32, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
Yes, together with the Door to Darkness. The scene from 0.2 was probably originally intended for BBS. --ShardofTruth 17:42, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
Could you send me that PMO of KH1 Riku? ChrisShade (talk) 06:22, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
No problem, but I don't have access to the files at the moment, maybe next week. --ShardofTruth 15:01, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
Do you know if there's a way to rip models from KH ReCoM? Also unpacking the facial animation textures? Just looking for Dark Mode Riku. How did you unpack txa files anyway? ChrisShade (talk) 07:46, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
I think someone successfully ripped models from ReCoM using PCSX2 with NinjaRipper or 3DReaperDX, I'm not sure and I can't find the thread anymore. You can always extract textures like this too, probably getting all facial animations in the process. Have you tried extracting the txa files with the modding tools? The PS3 version also uses the gtf format, so I could convert them like the other textures. Anyway, you'll find the Riku models from BBS here. --ShardofTruth 17:43, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, if you could convert the textures for me, that would be great. ChrisShade (talk) 18:29, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
While you're converting the textures, are you able to do the same for KHDDD? Maybe from the HD version? ChrisShade (talk) 01:16, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
No luck with the texture converting? 05:43, 22 July 2018 (UTC)ChrisShade (talk)

Getting the textures files from the HD games is a major pain, I have like 14,000 files for ReCoM and my texture extracting script is crashing every two minutes with different errors and I don't even know if I find these textures among them. Maybe it's easier to wait until rpcs3 gets in better shape. --ShardofTruth 19:00, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

Could I trouble you for more HD textures, full armored Ventus, full masked Vanitas, Armor of the Master and No Heart? ChrisShade (talk) 06:58, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

KH 2.8

Do you know if there's progress in ripping anything from KH 2.8? I was particularly looking to see if there's a proper texture for the Kingdom Key from DDD. After all, the existing one looks like it's for Shadow Sora or something. ChrisShade (talk) 07:50, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

Hey, any news or anything? ChrisShade (talk) 16:57, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
Sadly not I'm afraid. I think all that is accomplished at the moment is to either convert or directly use the Unreal 4 models (bit not textures) of 0.2, but I don't have access to anything. Maybe you should contact Xeeynamo about this. --ShardofTruth 18:39, 10 June 2018 (UTC)
On another note, KHUX Keyblades are 100% sprites, right? ChrisShade (talk) 01:54, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
They are, even though the glowing effect for the levels 35+ are animations. --ShardofTruth 16:15, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
So I got in contact with Xeeynamo, he told me he never did anything with the DDD portion of 2.8. He DID link me to a bunch of tools here. His words were, and I quote "There are some tools floating around for DDD, both N3DS and PS4; I can link you them, but I do not how to use them since KH DDD was never my interest". ChrisShade (talk) 01:39, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
By the way, did you ever download the KH3D pmo Noesis plugin that MayBeePah once uploaded? All of his dropbox links are now dead. ChrisShade (talk) 03:56, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
There wasn't any Noesis plugin as far as I remember, MayBeePah converted the models to obj directly. You can find them here. The textures are another complicated matter, I think the format was never actually researched except by a Italian translation group, who didn't release any tools I think. You probably could everything by using the Citra emulator, I think it has texture dumping, maybe even model dumping. I don't have any time to look into that though.--ShardofTruth 18:00, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

Armored Ventus Nightmare Keyblade

You know how people(including me) are totally convinced that (the Kingdom Key Keyblade that is used by the Armored Ventus Nightmare) is NOT Armored Ventus Nightmare's Keyblade? Well, it's actually not. That Keyblade texture is actually for the Anti-Sora's you face off against in Riku's Dream Dive into Sora's Dream before you fight Armored Ventus Nightmare. I used GLIntercept on Citra and got this. You might wanna change the wiki. Too bad I can't rip models with Citra. 14:45, 30 July 2018 (UTC)ChrisShade (talk)

You were right, the textures are looking extremely different, so I used them for the Kingdom Key instead. How does it look? I'm not sure if there are more effects missing, but you're the expert on this matter. Sorry for the BBS textures, I don't have much time at the moment, I'm constantly ripping KHUX stuff. --ShardofTruth 19:57, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, it looks good now. Although it might need some UV editing at the teeth, and I see some weird blue color inside it. So I made my own image, here. And the textures I wanted are not BBS but Re:COM HD, maybe even KH1HD. I wanted Dark Mode Riku's Facial animations. ChrisShade (talk) 23:11, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

Your Archive Page

Are you aware that all your links to your Archive 4 page actually links to your Archive 3 page? It's been like that for ages. ChrisShade (talk) 10:51, 3 August 2018 (UTC)

Yes, completely missed that. --ShardofTruth 19:00, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
And now it's a red link. Your problem is that your Archive 1 and 2 links are URLed as Archive_1 and Archive_2, while your Archive 3 is URLed as Archive3. And when you edited your Archive 4, you put it as Archive4. I tested it, and Archive 4 is supposed to be URLed as Archive_4. ChrisShade (talk) 05:02, 14 August 2018 (UTC)

Screenshots

I was reading the article about the "Battle Report" which appears at the end of the game, and I was wondering what programs/settings you used to capture the screenshots from that part of the game. Did you use an emulator instead of real hardware? If so, what renderer/filtering/resolution did you use? Did you edit the images afterwards? Because, my screenshots look blurry compared to yours, even at the same resolution. DemetriusDemigod (talk) 12:58, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

I used emulator's for all battle screens with the exceptions of BBS, these are just PSP screenshots. The GBA/NDS screens are native resolution, for the PS2 games I used PCSX2 with the following graphic plugin. At least I think these are the settings I used, this was really some time ago. It it's possible I reduce the image size after taking the screenshot in a higher resolution, I really don't know anymore. --ShardofTruth 19:00, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

KH2 Interdiction

Do we have the ability to get a KH2 render of one of Xemnas's Interdiction?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:18, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

I tried some things but since the dual swords are not a model but some sort of effect, I couldn't get hold of it. Soxra is the only one I know who made a render with the ethereal blades, but I'm not sure how genuine it is. I could crop this one if you like, in the end it won't look that much different from the KHD image. --ShardofTruth 22:50, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
That's frustrating. That sounds like a plan, though."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:25, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Rulebook

I'm pretty sure that を isn't part of the name. Should it be changed to just 掟の書?--LeafShinobi (talk) 00:01, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

You're right, I corrected it. Thanks for double checking. --ShardofTruth 06:29, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

Keyblade Textures

Can you send me the textures of the Halloween Town versions of Sora's playable Keyblades from KH2? ChrisShade (talk) 17:48, 5 December 2018 (UTC)

KH3 World Icons

Where did you guys pull the KH3 world icons from? :O --Samoa Joe (talk) 04:20, 20 February 2019 (UTC)

I am not sure where ShardofTruth got the Twilight Town image from, but I extracted the rest of the worlds from their respective Trophy images. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 05:20, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
If I'm not mistake ShradofTruth is a master at breaking into gamefiles and extracting information and models. - JTD95 (talk) 09:35, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
As the description says I used screenshots for both Twilight Town and Keyblade Graveyard, same with all other KH3 images I uploaded. As far as I know KH3 uses a customized version of the Unreal Engine that hasn't been figured out yet, the textures might be a different matter, but again, there wasn't made any progress on this front yet too. --ShardofTruth 17:11, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
Aha! So I guess that explains why we have all the command style stuff, but nothing from 0.2. Regardless, very nice. :D --Samoa Joe (talk) 17:46, 20 February 2019 (UTC)

0.2 Models

I believe you may have made a mistake with the 0.2 models. They were ripped by Lexakiness, not Jakkaeront. Lol, he actually asked me to let you know so you can correct it. --Samoa Joe (talk) 05:19, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll go correct it. --ShardofTruth 19:42, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

Dream Drop Distance

Hello again. I noticed that textures from the HD version have been ripped (Key to Truth actually told me as much over at twitter). Do you think you can upload them to your mediafire folder? It'd be grand! :D --Samoa Joe (talk) 02:29, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

I don't have ripped everything yet because I still have to convert the textures manually and there is lot and lots of stuff. I will update this archive over time, but maybe you can still find interesting stuff in there now. --ShardofTruth 19:24, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
Amazing! :D Thank you! As a token of appreciation, I'll share the textures pack I received for 0.2. Quite a few useful things in there I think! I will upload it very shortly. --Samoa Joe (talk) 21:33, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
Oh my goodness... That's a treasure trove! They even have hi-res KH1 Sora sprites! Can finally replace those here! And those hi-res wonder comic images are just.... @_@ Anyway! [As promised!] There is some strange stuff going on with some of those - like they're scrambled, but most are fine. Hopefully this means KH3 ripping is right around the corner. :D --Samoa Joe (talk) 21:54, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
Forgot to add - these textures were also ripped by Lexakiness. --Samoa Joe (talk) 21:57, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

Hey, quick question: [You have any idea what's going on here?] --Samoa Joe (talk) 23:26, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

It looks like the image isn't tiled correctly which is probably caused by extracting/converting it wrong. I already tried to fix it with the tools I have but it didn't work out, I can try to repair it manually tomorrow by moving the pixel rows around. --ShardofTruth 00:00, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
It's a no go.  :( They're scrambled out of order - it'd take literal years to fix it that way. I just asked both Lexakiness and Q, but they told me it was the result of encryption directly on the game files. It might have to be re-extracted to appear correctly. --Samoa Joe (talk) 02:07, 29 March 2019 (UTC)

[You might like this]. It's missing the portraits, but we already have most of those now. I think the only ones we're really missing are high-def Riku's from ReCoM. --Samoa Joe (talk) 22:21, 9 April 2019 (UTC)

Thanks, I was still looking for this. At least in the PS3 version of ReCoM there are almost no high resolution textures (menu, hud or otherwise) to be found, maybe they changed that for the PS4 version but I haven't seen any proof of this yet. --ShardofTruth 17:48, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
Actually, there might be a few changes? I recall for the PS4 version they changed a couple of card images. Now the standard gameplay hud is definitely low-res, like the minimap room thingy and room indicator, but I think the main menu might be in higher resolution. Same with the portraits. I could be wrong, but it might be worth a looksee? And speaking of which, we should probably update those Sora portraits lol. I'll get on that very shortly tonight! --Samoa Joe (talk) 02:26, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

KHUX

Is it possible to extract stuff from KHUX now? --Samoa Joe (talk) 06:32, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

Still not everything, but at least all stuff you can actually see on the screen. --ShardofTruth 13:29, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
Does that mean we can get pretty rips of the enemies?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:22, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
Same question for character images, actually. Please :) Lady Junky (talk) 15:56, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
There is nothing pretty about KHUX, this isn't KHX were everything could be upscaled, even ripped quality is maybe a tick above a good screenshot. In other words: Most of the KHUX exclusive enemies and characters already uploaded here will stay this way. --ShardofTruth 17:22, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
In that case, I have one minor and last request. :) Can you upload the logo parts? It isn't for the wiki (unless it's higher res like it was with the DDD HD one!) but rather my own amusement lol, I totally admit it! --Samoa Joe (talk) 20:19, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
These are all logo parts I could get. --ShardofTruth 21:30, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
This is fantastic! :D Thank you. I won't be asking anything anymore, at least until I make some substantial edits to the wiki. There's still a lot of stuff in the DDD package that still needs to be cleaned and uploaded for example. Thanks again. :) --Samoa Joe (talk) 04:29, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
Burrfish, Chipper Chef, Dark Wisp, Diver, Ferocious Fins, Barrier Master, Golden Hook Bat, Heat Saber, Luna Bandit, Blitz Spear, Martial Monkey, Mean Maiden, Piercing Knight, Paralysis Archer, Poison Archer, Poison Pot, Polliwog, Shadow Magician, Shadow Witch, Sleep Archer, Sly Cat, Wicked Wick, Wight Knight, Wily Cat -- is this a lighting thing or something that makes them look different? Is it possible for us to get noticeably better images now?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:33, 29 April 2019 (UTC)
No. Burrfish for example is already a game rip. It's not the lighting, these Heartless look more blurred compared to their KHX counterparts because of how the the KHUX assets are converted. On one hand the Heartless are considerably smaller and on the other hand all animations exist as pre-rendered pieces that were probably compressed another time and loose even more detail in motion. The same is true for the characters and all Avatar stuff.
There is nothing we can do about the quality without SE's source files or until we get an "HD" port of the game. --ShardofTruth 16:36, 29 April 2019 (UTC)
Damn damn damn. Okay, thanks for informing me."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 16:55, 29 April 2019 (UTC)

'Ello again! I'm just asking stuff of you aren't I? XD Do you think you can update [this collection] sometime in the near future? It just occurred to me the renders on the medals are pretty good sources for some of the newer Heartless in KH3. That...and I wanna update those character images on TV Tropes, so it's not for this wiki necessarily lol. --Samoa Joe (talk) 00:20, 29 June 2019 (UTC)

I really would like to do that but since you can only indirectly rip these images now it's a really thankless and time consuming task. You could tell me which cutins you need and I could try to get them. --ShardofTruth 05:34, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, but it's alright. This series has too many damn characters - even if I told you the number needed, it'd be a lot lol. Don't worry about it. :) Off-topic, but what's the progress on cracking KH3 open? --Samoa Joe (talk) 05:54, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
The problem here is not the game itself (at least not yet) but that it requires a PS4 firmware version of 6.02 and above. As far as I know there hasn't been a custom firmware above 5.05 yet, so there is no way to get the files (decrypted). I don't know the situation with Xbox One but it's probably in the same state or worse. --ShardofTruth 13:05, 29 June 2019 (UTC)

Strange, and maybe premature question, but do you have a partitioned/unassembled gamerip of the KH3 logo? I just realized I made a huge mistake with the spacing on the Re Mind logo and I can't fix it without individual pieces of the KH3 logo. At the very least the "III" and the heart without the font on front (like our KH3 icon). If not, it's not a huge biggie - we can wait until an official png is out, but if possible I'd like to fix it. --Samoa Joe (talk) 21:22, 13 September 2019 (UTC)

Sadly I have nothing of this sorts yet, I checked my KHUX resources and there isn't any logo like this found there too. --ShardofTruth 16:51, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
Nuts. Waiting for an official transparency it is then. Though I suppose I could ask 13th Vessel to squeeze out some stuff since he's been ripping KH3 to hell and back. Buuut...I kinda don't want to lol. It seems more ethical to pester someone on the Wiki for stuff for the wiki. :P --Samoa Joe (talk) 04:11, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
Aaaaand done! Fixed it. :) No longer need for pieces or official transparency. Though ripping the game apart for those formchange icons would still be awesome one day lol... --Samoa Joe (talk) 14:25, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
Looks superb, thank you. --ShardofTruth 11:06, 4 October 2019 (UTC)

KH3 assets

So people on Xentax and Twitter are extracting various in-game assets, is it possible for you to get in contact with them and get things like weapon renders, textures, etc.? Ultima Spark (talk) Lofty Fantasy KH3D.png 05:07, 21 September 2019 (UTC)

I could ask 13th Vessel, but I don't know if he'll even answer back. I'm not terribly significant in the community lol. --Samoa Joe (talk) 13:10, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
T_T I'm really super sorry about all this, but...I honestly don't think I'll be able to contribute much when it comes to this. I'm pretty positive I inadvertently burned all the bridges that could've provided us with some stuff. Sorry! --Samoa Joe (talk) 03:56, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
The whole deal with the KH3 game files is very strange to say the least. The people who got these files in the first place apparently use some non-public exploit and they share some (!) of these files in absolute secrecy. I know for a fact that menu textures and so on are currently not available, models and maps on the other hand seem to be mostly complete. There is still so much modeling stuff do be done I don't know when I have the time to even start looking into it. I'll try to get the Kingdom Key W and Braveheart renders as soon as possible, the rest simply has to wait. --ShardofTruth 11:06, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, looks like. I feel bad for putting it all on you to provide us with this stuff. :( On a side note, I honestly can't wrap my mind around that mentality. They're all glory hogging around stuff that...they didn't even actually make to begin with. It's messed up. --Samoa Joe (talk) 15:52, 4 October 2019 (UTC)

Unavailable Videos

Hey there slugger! If I come across a video on a page which has been taken down or is unavailable, should I make an edit removing it? Pureautism (talk) 21:23, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

Hi. I'm not Shard lol. But I'm jumping in! Wouldn't it be more prudent to replace it with a working link? Which vids are down? --Samoa Joe (talk) 04:08, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
I see several unavailable videos across the wiki, an example of a page with an unavailable video would be Mission 09: Collect hearts. Say a video goes unavailable and there is no video with an equivalent of the unavailable one's content, at that point I take it would be best to remove it until an equivalent available video comes up? Pureautism (talk) 21:31, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
Super late answer, Samoa Joe is right, replacing missing videos with a working link is of course preferred. Most videos on this site are supplementary, so removing them won't do much harm (please state removing it in the summary anyway). Sometimes sections are about the content of trailers/secret movies, in this case a replacements has to be found. Thanks for your help. --ShardofTruth 07:06, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Re: Replacing images with higher quality versions

Thanks for the tip about the images! I have however have come to a problem though. Instead of the usual upload new file it tells me that I cannot replace them file, and when I try to do it the other way by just making a new file with the same name it still doesn't let me. How do I get this fixed so I don't have to replace every individual enemy with new ones? 😅 ZBroadcast (talk) 7:29 1 December, 2019 (UTC)

Hi ZBroadcast, I'm not entirely sure why it doesn't work for you but could you try to confirm your email address? If you already have there is probably something wrong on our side. Thanks --ShardofTruth 07:32, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
I double-checked with the email and it still doesn't seem to budge. Do you think I just need to wait a few days or make a few edits to be fully verified? ZBroadcast (talk) 10:46 2 December, 2019 (UTC)
The stuff about the email was outdated, sorry about that. You automatically become an autoconfirmed user 7 days after your registration and making 10 edits, this means upcoming Saturday you can upload new versions, move pages etc. Sorry about the inconvenience. --ShardofTruth 08:47, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
Nah it’s good. I had a similar issue on the Mario MediaWiki and I just wanted to make sure this was the same case. Thanks for the help! 👍 ZBroadcast (talk) 3:58 3 December, 2019 (UTC)

DDD HD Maps

'Ello again lol. Do you have the Dream Drop Distance map files on hand? I was planning to compile the maps from just screencapping the game, but there's all kinds of prompts and icons in-game that are in the way. I could just photoshop them out, but...it wouldn't exactly be faithful then. It'd be much better to work with the raw maps directly. Thanks. :) --Samoa Joe (talk) 04:04, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

I will have a look at it in the afternoon and send everything I'll find. --ShardofTruth 07:32, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
Thanks! --Samoa Joe (talk) 15:31, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
Here they are, the maps of both versions for the sake of completion. The BBS0.2 maps turned out fantastic by the way, great work. --ShardofTruth 21:03, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
Thanks! :D Already got to work on them. Though I have to admit lol...I'm really not liking the schizophrenic placement of the spawn points. You run in a map and reach a flag on the northern point that loads the next area, and the entrance flag for the next map is...again, on the north point. Or west. Or east. Or in the middle of the map! It makes connecting the points a real annoyance, but them's the breaks. Also, I'm noticing that...we don't really have any consistent template for displaying maps. Each world page has like, its own thing. I'm thinking we should stick to a Gallery template - that just shows the thumbnails and doesn't take up a lot of space. What do you think? --Samoa Joe (talk) 03:21, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
I always liked the fact that they are put after the section that talks about the areas on the map, but it does somewhat odd where they are placed on the page. Do you propose a single gallery after the settings and area section? --ShardofTruth 08:47, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
Yeah. Like how I currently have the Dark World maps displayed - nice and neat right underneath the descriptions. --Samoa Joe (talk) 09:28, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
Okay, that looks neat. On pages with small settings sections, like Olympus Coliseum, a single gallery is probably still the best way to go or else it looks cluttered again. --ShardofTruth 10:49, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

Kingdom Hearts III Adversary Images

I have high quality screenshots of a vast majority of the adversaries in Kingdom Hearts III. The only problem is that they're all jpegs while the current versions on the wiki are pngs. How do I solve this? ZBroadcast (talk) 2:31 6 December, 2019 (UTC)

You have to convert the images to png. The simplest way to do that is opening the jpg images in any graphic program of your choice (even Paint will do) and save it in the png format. --ShardofTruth 17:31, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

In-Game Models from the Journal?

Would it be a good idea to upload images of character screenshots directly from the journals in the games? I feel like it would be good especially in the case of when the official artwork is not too high quality and could have a companion in the gallery. I already uploaded one of the Shadow from KHFM but I wanted to ask before I did anymore. ZBroadcast (talk) 12:51 9 December, 2019 (UTC)

I think it depends on the image in question. Generally we prefer official renders above or else here because apart from other reasons they will always illustrate the character the best. Using screenshots from the journal is often only an option if no such image is available yet and and in these cases we generally prefer renders of model rips since they can be posed for a similar result. The Shadow in your screenshot for example uses its typical crouching animation which makes it hard recognize every part of it.
As for the quality I agree that especially the enemy images have much left to be desired but since the gallery space is just there to illustrate the differences between the games basically and you won't notice that much of a quality difference in the info boxes/thumbnails, so it's not that important for the wiki to always have super crisp images if they are hard to come by.
If you have images that really boost the page you can go for it, otherwise it's often not worth the hassle (including making the background transparent etc.). --ShardofTruth 17:37, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
Understood, thanks for the tip! I was mainly wondering especially for some like the Trickmaster and the FM Battleship, but I can see the reasons especially for enemies that already have good enough artwork. ZBroadcast (talk) 12:07 10 December, 2019 (UTC)

Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance

Do you have the textures for all the weapon trails and impact effects of all the Keyblades in Dream Drop Distance? ChrisShade (talk) 16:49, 22 December 2019 (UTC)

Maybe, I haven't checked yet, but I don't have access to the data during the holidays since I'm visiting friends and family. I'll check once I'm back early next year. --ShardofTruth 10:52, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
