Origin

Nick first appeared as a cameo in Walt Disney Animation Studios's Academy Award-winning film Big Hero 6 as a design on Honey Lemon's phone case and on a billboard seen in San Fransokyo. He later made his official debut in the Disney film Zootopia, voiced by Jason Bateman. He is a con artist who sells popsicles made from jumbo pops and makes profits from them. When he meets Officer Judy Hopps, he tricks her into aiding his scam, and when she confronts him on the matter, he deduces her beliefs of Zootopia and proceeds to break her heart.

The next day, Nick is confronted by Judy, who ropes him into helping her track down Emmitt Otterton. While aiding her, he saves her from Chief Bogo when the latter demands her badge, and he later admits his past as a bully victim. The two soon discover that Otterton and the other missing mammals are held at a facility held by Mayor Lionheart. With the case seemingly solved, Nick accepts Judy's offer to become her partner, but when she accidentally comments about predators at a press conference, he leaves her. Judy eventually realizes the truth about the missing mammals and recruits Nick to help her. The duo discover a facility filled with night howler bulbs, and find out that the entire disappearance was orchestrated by Assistant Mayor Bellwether. She tries to have Nick kill Judy through a night howler serum, only to be foiled when Nick and Judy reveal that they recorded Bellwether's gloating and swapped the night howlers for berries. After Bellwether is arrested, Nick joins the Zootopia Police Department as Judy's partner. Template:Section-stub Template:BoxTop
