Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX is an HD remaster compilation of the Kingdom Hearts series, made in celebration of the series's tenth anniversary. It includes full HD remasters of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts: Re:Chain of Memories with added Playstation 3 Trophy support. It also includes a collection of cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days up-scaled in full HD within the compilation's Theater Mode.
New features
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX will not only be collecting the "year one" titles and rendering them for HD, but also updating them to better mesh with the newer games in the series. For example, Sora, Riku, and Ansem's physiology models will be replaced with those of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, and there will be currently unspecified revisions to the game scripts to maintain consistency with the overall plot. In terms of mechanics, the controls of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix will be made more similar to those of Kingdom Hearts II, and in particular the "?" command will be removed, while Reaction Commands will be added. Cutscenes exclusive to Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, which were either unvoiced or used English voice acting, will receive new Japanese voice acting, and every cutscene from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, whether it was originally a prerendered scene or used in-game graphics, will be remade for Theatre Mode.
