Master Xehanort's Keyblade (マスター・ゼアノートのキーブレード Masutā Zeanōto no Kīburēdo) is the the default form of Master Xehanort's Keyblade, which is also used by his reincarnation Terra-Xehanort and his data copy No Heart. It appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
Usage
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
Although Master Xehanort does not often draw his Keyblade, he wields his Keyblade takes this form whenever he does fight. Master Xehanort often uses this Keyblade to channel his own dark magic and the ability to lock and unlock hearts. Master Xehanort used the unlock ability at the Keyblade Graveyard on Ventus to extract the darkness from his apprentice's heart from his body which created Vanitas. A short while later, Master Xehanort used it to channel his dark magic at the Land of Departure when Master Eraqus then his former friend tried to attack but no avail. Four years later, Master Xehanort used his Keyblade in the final battle at the Keyblade Graveyard to fight Terra with the fight in the favor of the young soldier of darkness.
When Master Xehanort used his Keyblade to extract his own heart and allow him to take over Terra's body, Terra-Xehanort used it to fight Lingering Will. Not long after when Terra-Xehanort fought Aqua, Terra's heart begins throwing off Master Xehanort's control which forced Terra-Xehanort used his Keyblade on their shared body to seal away their hearts, also causing them to lose the Keyblade.[1] After this, this Keyblade vanishes.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
According to a flashback, Terra-Xehanort regains the ability to use this Keyblade at Radiant Garden where the amnesiac uses it to extract Braig's heart from his body and transforms his co-conspirator into Xigbar.
Following his revival at The World That Never Was, Master Xehanort continues to wield this Keyblade when he attempts to use it to place a fragment of his heart inside Sora's comatose body but Lea stops the process at the last moment.
Design
Master Xehanort's Keyblade has a spiky, black guard resembling demonic wings, a horned, demonic head just above the handle, two barbed shafts, and teeth resembling a battle axe split into three almost claw-like protrusions. It resembles the Oblivion Keyblade to a degree, but with two shafts and a different head. It also contains two demonic, blue eyes; one above the handle and the other one on the head, similar to that of the Soul Eater, Way to the Dawn, and Void Gear. Its shaft and head are adorned with several twisting, silver patterns. Master Xehanort is capable of converting his Keyblade into an orb of dark energy, which is shot into the sky to summon Kingdom Hearts. No Heart has displayed the ability to detach the head of the Keyblade to form an impenetrable barrier, as well as tranform the Keyblade into a claw-like weapon, a greave, or a pair of wings that allow flight. His Keyblade possesses a Keychain, which has a black charm with another demonic blue eye upon it.
