"The second melody was first introduced in "Always on My Mind" and was first incorporated into "Dearly Beloved" in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories." I feel like maybe this line should be changed to say it was first incorporated in Kingdom Hearts II, since that is where it first appeared. The original Chain of Memories version was more or less a direct copy of the first game's version, and Re:CoM is when it got the Always on My Mind motif, which wasn't until after KH2 released. On a somewhat unrelated note, the HD II.5 version of Dearly Beloved is actually just a direct rip of the original KH2 version, not a rearrangement like most of the music, so maybe the II.5 audio file should be removed. - SDR152

:The original Chain of Memories version actually did have the "Always on My Mind" section, just on a synth instead of the RECOM bell set (you can here it here). I'll go fix the HD2.5 one, though, I never realized that was one of the tracks that was lifted from the original. —<span style="font-family:'Times New Roman'; font-size:110%>Aid1043 16:22, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

yes it is.

Pitch change

Symbol Character - Mickey.png
FA icon.png I paid close attention to all versions of Dearly Beloved from KHI right up to the Days version and I can only say this about the changes :
 • KHI's was the basic theme.
 • In Chain of Memories and KHII they added the melodic theme from Always on My Mind, the song played when Sora seals the Door to Darkness with Mickey on the other side.
 • Days has the most changes - it actually starts with the theme from Always on My Mind.

There hasn't been any pitch change whatsoever ; all of them are on the same key (E flat). But how am I ever going to explain this in layman terms...

Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png Ok, I made this move, and then found in the Kingdom Hearts Insider forums a translation of the Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance Ultimania, in which Yoko Shimomura actually does mention that the change in tempo is a result of the 3D in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Can anyone with the Ultimania check to make sure whether this is true or not? Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png
It's true of course, I scanned those interviews myself;-) --ShardofTruth 18:23, 11 October 2014 (UTC)

1.5+2.5

I honestly have no clue if it's just a previously used version or not, but I found a video with 1.5+2.5's Dearly Beloved: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPD_4ZVDRqs

Also, dumb question, but for the sound files on the main page, 1.5 is for KH1FM HD, right? And 2.5 is for KH2FM HD? --Riku's battle sprite (KHDays) mikoto 08:29, 27 March 2023 (UTC)

I believe the version of Dearly Beloved used for 1.5+2.5's title screen is the Piano Collection version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgUVpAqbMOc&list=PL989EF4BA19D21211&index=10
As for your second question: I believe the answer is yes. - Joseph Thorn Dalton XCVSymbol Character - Vanitas.png 14:47, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
