Ventus using Fire Surge in the Mysterious Tower
Fire Surge (ファイアブリッツ Faia Burittsu, lit. "Fire Blitz") is a technique in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. The technique focuses on rushing forward a short distance whilst a wheel of flame quickly revolves around the caster in a manner similar to how Sora casts Fire in Kingdom Hearts II.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Fire Surge is a Basic Attack Command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 3, and a normal reload time of 15 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 10%.
Learning Fire Surge
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
- Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can create Fire Surge through Command Melding.
- Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can buy Fire Surge from the Moogle Shop for 650 munny once six worlds are cleared or the command has already been obtained elsewhere.
- Ventus can find Fire Surge in a chest at the Launch Deck.
- Aqua can find Fire Surge in a chest at the Ship Hub.
- Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can find Fire Surge as a bonus on the normal Hunny Pot Board and Secret Board.
- The Donald D-Link has Fire Surge in its Lv.1 and Lv.2 Command Deck.

Fire Surge is a Basic-class Attack Command that can be melded through four different recipes, listed in the Attack Recipe.
- The first recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, and is a type K recipe that has a 100% success rate.
- Binding Strike (LV3) and Fira (LV3)
- The second recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, and is a type O recipe that has a 100% success rate.
- Confusion Strike (LV3) and Fira (LV3)
- The third recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, and is a type A recipe that has a 100% success rate.
- Fire Strike (LV3) and Fira (LV3)
- The fourth recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, and is a type D recipe that has a 100% success rate.
