Second Chance is an ability in the Kingdom Hearts series. The ability allows whoever the player is playing as to survive a fatal blow with 1 HP so long as they have more than one remaining prior to the hit. In Kingdom Hearts II, there is a similar ability called Once More that allows Sora to survive a fatal combo with the same rules as Second Chance. Both abilities are considered necessary for defeating Sephiroth (Boss), because of his quick and easily fatal combos.
