Lucid is a category of materials that appear in the Kingdom Hearts series and are used in Item Synthesis. One of the more common materials, the purpose of Lucid materials is essentially unchanged from Kingdom Hearts to Kingdom Hearts II.
The Lucid materials were called "See-Through", "Transparent", or "Sheer" in the original Japanese, and represent feelings of emptiness.
Kingdom Hearts
Like the other common materials in Kingdom Hearts, the Lucids came in three forms: Shard, Gem, and Crystal. However, they were the only common material not to acquire a Stone form in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix; there were changes to their drop rate and enemies.
Drops
- Lucid Shard: Shadow, White Mushroom (when Gravity is the final spell), Gigant Shadow (Final Mix only)
- Lucid Gem: Gargoyle, Wight Knight, White Mushroom (when Gravity is the final spell)
- Lucid Crystal: Darkball
Kingdom Hearts II
Lucid materials finally acquired a Stone form in Kingdom Hearts II; their common status also made them one of the basic eight materials. Collecting 30 Lucid Shards, 25 Lucid Stones, or 20 Lucid Gems would make those items available for purchase in the Moogle synthesis shop. As a reflection of their original name, Lucid materials are assigned the "color" of clear to distinguish them from other materials.
Drops
- Lucid Shard: Rabid Dog, Trick Ghost
- Lucid Stone: Graveyard, Toy Soldier, Wight Knight
- Lucid Gem: Bookmaster, Magnum Loader
- Lucid Crystal: Neoshadow
Purchase (when opened)
- Lucid Shard: 100 Munny
- Lucid Stone: 200 Munny
- Lucid Gem: 400 Munny
